I Need A Snoring Cure Now!

An age-old problem for women has been what action they can take (or what solution they can find) when their husband snores all night and keeps them awake.

Since the dawn of time, this has been a major dilemma for women and has resulted in interrupted sleep, which in turn leads to stress, which in turn leads to even less sleep  its a vicious circle.

Some Snoring Treatments Are Just Weird

There are some weird and wonderful contraptions which companies offer as snoring cures. Indeed, some of them can appear as if they came from a medieval torture chamber rather than a medical laboratory. They include straps to try and keep a persons mouth closed during the night as well as mouthpieces which will adjust the position of the jaw during sleep.

There are lots of things you can do yourself to try and lessen the chance of snoring when you sleep. Numerous companies offer special pillows which they claim will discourage snoring. Nasal strips may also help as you are much more likely to snore if you are suffering from a cold or flu and this has resulted in your nose being blocked.

Weight A Factor In Snoring

One of the prime causes of sleep deprivation is being disturbed by a partner who is snoring.  This can lead to major problems in your relationship, especially as the chances are that the person making all the noise is not disturbed by it in the least.  If someone could come up with a proven solution to the problem of snoring, the divorce rate would probably reduce.

A corpulent person is more likely to snore than someone who is in the normal weight range.  This is probably because if you are overweight your muscle tone is not as good which will mean that you are at greater risk of snoring when you are asleep.  A healthy diet, including drinking plenty of water, can also help.  As well as making you feel better, you are much less likely to disturb your partner during the night.

Snoring - Root Causes

Some medicines prescribed by doctors can result in you snoring, although this should only be a temporary problem whilst you are taking the medication. A common side effect with some types of medication is that they make you drowsy. If you are taking these drugs over a long period of time it can prove more of a challenge if you are trying to find a solution to your snoring.

Because snoring does not always have the same root-cause, it follows that one snoring solution will not work for everyone. There are multiple reasons why people snore, so individuals need to identify what the specific reason for this is in their case. Once the reason has been discovered, it is much easier to find a solution which will definitely work.

Although the medical profession does not tend to consider snoring as a reason why you should visit a doctor, if you are a constant snorer you may be suffering from a condition called sleep apnea. This means that you may stop breathing whilst you are asleep sometimes for up to 10 seconds. Naturally, this can sometimes cause problems and it is well worth having a chat with your doctor and getting it checked out.

Anti Snoring Pillows

As well as traditional anti snoring pillows, some pillows are now made which will inflate.  This means that they will help you breath more smoothly whilst you are asleep which, in turn, reduces the risk of you snoring.  Although these pillows are not widely available on the high street, if you search through the internet you can find some companies who do manufacture them.

Articles are now on the internet claiming that a computerized anti snoring pillow has now been invented in Germany.  The inventor claims that the pillow works by moving your head whilst you sleep until the snoring stops.   The pillow is apparently attached to a small computer which is the size of a book.  This sits on the bedside table and analyses snoring noises.  Air compartments are then automatically made larger or smaller to help the airflow and reduce snoring.
