John wakes up and needs to go to work like everyone else, however for him it becomes a real nightmare form the minute he has to make the decision to go, he is afraid that his boss might ebarrass him in front of his co workers, he is also afraid on the launch time where he will have to sit in front of other co workers and he dont know what to talk about with them.

John is also afraid of asking questions about the new project to the secretary because she is a women and john gets to nervouss in front of her and starts sweating.

The Story of john is invented, but this is the kind of social anxiety stories that happen every day to people that have this disorder. Most people dont understand why they have that intense fear when there is nothing threatening, but they just cant control it, is something physical and psychological.

There are many stories that you can hear and see, i have my own story that i had to deal with since i was a kid and fortunately i have improved a lot and now i have a healthy social life. However i want you to hear from people that are dealing with social anxiety right now and want to tell their story to help you overcome it.

My Personal Recovery

Maybe you have tried different treatments to cure your social phobia without much success or maybe not. The fact is that a huge percentage of people with this disorder dont look for help, they just accept the fact that this is their personality and they cant do nothing about it.

Its true that is not easy to change and control your fears that you know that they are there and there is nothing you can do. However, medications do help control those fears expecially anxiety and depression, is not the best option because it can become addictive and can cause side effects, but while you are practicing going out with people medications can help.

The most effective method to treat social anxiety is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, there are other kinds of therapies that are also effective, but this is the most common and it actually works if you follow the treatment. It will help you change you negative beliefs and thoughts, you need to understand the source of your fears and eliminate those irrational fears.
