Why is my Internet connection very slow and what can be done about it? This article tells you what to do if your Internet Explorer browser slows down
When the browser's cache gets too full it can slow down Internet Explorer .
Try the following steps to resolve the problem.
* Launch Internet Explorer.
* Click on Tools and select Internet Options.
# You will reach the General tab of Internet Options window.
# Click on Delete Cookies and then OK in the confirmation box .
# Now click on Delete Files.
# Check Delete all offline content.
# Click OK in the confirmation box.
# Close and relaunch Internet Explorer.
# Turn off your PC and modem (by cutting off the power supply) for 30 seconds and restart your modem. Wait for the lights to go steady and turn on your PC.
# If there is no significant improvement in the speed of your broadband connection, contact your Internet Service Provider and have them reset the port and / or troubleshoot for slow-speed issues.
Alternately, if all else fails, switch to another browser like Firefox

this is a slim way to speed up a connection. Mozilla and IE both slow down lately. It's a new kind of conspiracy to make money off the unsuspecting. Gee never had THIS kind of problem before right?
Of course not. all this does is minutely speed things up. the real problem lies in the larger conspiracy going on the internet now. A new problem nobody knows about. Not spyware, virus, or malware. Just a new way to sucker all the users of the internet in. I'll bet if you re-install windows or install Mozilla for the first time you will not have this problem for a couple weeks. bet??? try it!!
then it will all slow to a crawl again. maybe favorites??? oh yeah you are supposed to be able to save those.... try saving favorites to a new favorites file other than the default and start the default favorites file over again. tell me what you find out.
