Watching the massive success of the second edition of cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL), i saw in internet the news that the South African cricket (CSA) authorities have decided to launch Southern Premier League (SPL) by the year 2011. it is said that the league will feature three countries namely  South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.  The first season is said to begin in october 2011.

Well much as been talked about fatigue that our indian team is facing but here comes another news.......

That Cricket South Africa (CSA) has received the approval of the BCCI on roping in Indian cricketers for the SPL. Well in my point of view no cricket tournament  will be a hit without indian connections in it.....

SPL said be organized on the lines of IPL  will be having ten teams instead of eight. The league will feature four teams from South Africa, four from Australia and two from New Zealand. And it is said that the series will be rotated amony the three countries.

Well the sucess of IPL is all that as made the three nations to launch an event of this kind.  The cash-rich league has given a boost to the economy of South Africa. So another league with exciting t20 matches...............
