Free Spring Clip Art
75These spring clip art images were designed in the middle of what for some in the United States has been a brutally cold winter. I live in Florida, so cold is a relative term. But we've dipped down into the thirties (Fahrenheit) a few nights this winter, which is near freezing. It doesn't usually get that cold down in our neck of the woods, so that put me in the mood to create these cheerful reminders that spring is right around the corner.
These images were created in Picnik, the free online graphics program. I can't say enough about Picnik, because their program has allowed me to go crazy creating clip art -- something I've always wanted to do. Many moons ago I began my career as a publications art director, so I was always searching for decent clip art to make ads and page layouts. I mostly write for a living these days, but I still found myself needing clip art all the time. So when I discovered Picnik, I realized I could create virtually whatever I wanted. Being a blogger, the next logical step was to share the images. Hence, I created this spring clip art hub and many others like it that feature free clip art.
If you'd like to play around with Picnik, too, you might want to read my tutorials, which will teach you how to make your own clip art and how to make clip art from photos.
