With all the clip art I design and all the handmade cards I've made, you think I would have though of creating printable scrapbook papers a long time ago! Well, I didn't. But I'm happy to say that I finally created my first set, which is in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The designs are simple but I think you'll find that gives them a lot of versatility.

The great thing about downloading your own printable scrapbooking papers (besides the fact that they're free!) is that you can size them to suit your project. If you're making a handmade card, you might want to pop one of these into a Word document and reduce it to be the right scale for a small project like that. And, of course, you can size them to fit your scrapbook layout or any other fun St. Patrick's Day craft project you can dream up!

My thanks to Mary Beth Cryan, who is much better at designing scrapbook papers than me. I had it in mind to create scrapbooking papers for a while, but it wasn't until I visited her blog and saw the beautiful scrapbook papers she designed that I became inspired to start creating.

Instructions for Downloading the Free St. Patrick's Day Scrapbook Papers

Choose a small thumbnail version of any of the St.Patrick's Day scrapbook paper images in the right column or below this copy. When you click on one of the images, it will appear larger.

IMPORTANT: Once you've chosen an image and see it larger, double-click on the larger image, which will make the best version of the art appear. Sorry for the extra step, but this will give you the highest quality art.

Then, if you have a PC, just right-click and save the final version of the artwork to your hard drive. If you're a Mac user, control-click the image until you get a pop-up menu that will give you an option to save the file on your hard drive.

Note to Internet Explorer users: You may have to click one more time after following the instructions above. In other words, click on the image that comes up after clicking on the large image.

Once you have the images on your hard drive, you can size them in a Word document and then print them or just print them directly from the saved image file.
