Stop Blaming Jesus

I don't understand people that blame Jesus for something bad that happened to someone they know and love or themselves. I have heard people say: ";Why did Jesus let this happen";, ";I don't care about Jesus anymore";, or ";I hate Jesus because he let it happen";. For those people that blame Jesus I have a question for you! Did you ever stop and think about how Jesus was crusified? How he was killed and tortured? Jesus is no more to blame when bad things happen then you or I am. Everyone has the choice to choose right from wrong (thats our free will). Choosing right from wrong starts when your young. Usually it starts from the moment when you tell your first lie whether it be a small lie or big lie. Those people that grow up to become evil and commit terrible crimes are the only people that should be blamed. There are many good christian people in this world and there are also evil people in this world. Evil people have been here for as long as christians have been here. When a person hurts you or someone you love, that person will have to answer to God for his crime. But, to blame Jesus/God for something someone did is just wrong. The next time you want to blame Jesus/God, think about when he was killed and tortured for no reason. Who was Jesus's suppose to blame, himself ?

A simple hub with a big message. God will allow evil to exist until He redeems His creation. People ignorantly assume that God causes bad things to happen to good people. The correct statement is: God allows bad things to happen to good people to accomplish His will. This is a difficult and deep theological doctrine that must be understood proper in order to fully understand living in a fallen creation. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persicute you. That you may be the childeren of your father which is in heaven; for he makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

If this were not so, and rain fell continually on evil men and they saw that the sun always shines on the good, they would be swayed to do good, and would therefore loose the heaven inspired right to free will.

I agree. I know people who are in church every sunday and when something goes wrong in their family they say " I go to church every week why me."

This is a good hub. I'm so thankful that God is in control of everything. Things happen to us for our good, although many times we can't see it. I also see people blaming God or Jesus for things in their lives. If only we could look back and see that we have asked for a lot of it by our own actions. Somethings, like illness for example, happen. But, God knew it was going to happen and He is there with us through anything that comes our way. No matter how bad it is. He is always there for His children if only we'd let Him be. When those things happen that we feel are bad, I wish we could realize it's for our own good and God knows what He's doing a lot more than we do. So many times we feel we know more than God does, and that's where we get into trouble. Thanks for this hub! Good job.

Sherry,

Thank you for this hub.

It is interesting to me the people who want God’s blessings without giving Him the praise, but blame Him when things go wrong.

Nice hub Sherry and I agree with those who have previously commented as well.

The results of our choices sets things in motion and when the choices we make are poor ones, there will be consequences which effect more than the one person who made the choice. The Bible tells us the sins of the fathers can affect even third and fourth generations. (A good reason to get right with Him and ask Him to break those generational curses).

Thank you for great hub. Before I read the comments I would like to write mine.

It is not right to blame Jesus or God for bad things happen. God does not allows bad happenings. He just gave us an authority to run the earth. We may read it in beginning of Genesis book.

Adam turned all to Satan. He is the prince of this world. He has to be blamed.

Now I can read rest of the story. :-).

God is not in control. If He is, then He is very bad manager. Again, He gave us this earth, and how we cook we will eat.

I do not like to manage house of my kids if I gave them the house. I just gave them the blessings.

Did I say it right?
