It's the most painful time when we suffer cramps one feels low and can not decide what to do at that very moment the more we try to get rid of it at that moment the more squeezer it becomes .the exact trigger of these painful spasms are not know yet ,though bad circulation of blood ,tiredness and a lack of calcium or low salt in the body are all known factors to get cramps inadequate exercise ,failing to stretch after exercise and dehydration are the most common cause to cramps.More sleep ,regular exercise and a better diet may help to limit these attacks of cramps in a person .
But the question is what to do when these cramps take place or strikes you at odd hours?
and you do not have anyone close by to help you? A simple thing that you can do is try stretching the muscle which is cramped in the opposite direction massaging it lightly,then using hot or cold pack to ease the tension.
Cramps are unpleasant, often painful sensations caused by contraction or over-shortening of muscles in our limbs or sometime in our back or lower abdomen. Cramps can be caused by cold, overexertion or low calcium level in the blood.Cramps in the muscles may also be a symptom or a complication of pregnancy, kidney disease, thyroid disease, For the cramps in the legs ,the quickest remedy is tobend over and catch the end of your big toes, completely straightening your leg, this helps the cramp to eventually recced.Stretching your hands up above you and breathing in deeply through your mouth also helps to ease cramps, and then give heat or cold compress to it .This improves the blood circulation and makes muscles more flexible and relaxed,Cramps that occurs from lack of water or lack of salt in the body can be treated by drinking a lot of water and also increasing the intake of salt. cramps at the time of mensuration can be treated with paracetamol tablet or stretching exercises, or the application of heat by taking warm baths or heating pads. Cramp that mostly happen in the calves, thighs, and arches of the foot or toes are seemingly associated with strenuous activity and can be intensely painful.
The duration of leg cramps are variable ,the cramps sometimes lasts for a few seconds and sometimes times several minutes. Soreness remains for some time after the cramp ends. Cramps are more common in aged people but can happen to anyone at anytime. They happen to teenagers during mensuration or over exertion and in some people while they are exercising or sleeping at night.Leg cramps can be extremely painful, especially if the person who is dehydrated.Often putting some pressure on the affected leg or by walking some distance will make the cramp go away.
