sudoku tips

I'm going to show you some basic sudoku tips. Just after read this sudoku tips you will be able to solve simple sudoku puzzles, but to solve complex puzzles you will need to know more advanced techniques.

First of all, the notation. The coordenates of a square are refered as a combination of "row column". For example the square that belong to row "B" and column "c" is called "Bc". Ok, let's start with the Only Choice Rule.

Only Choice Rule

Now I'm going to teach you the "only choice rule", the all the sudoku tips this is the simplest.

Currently there are allocated 8 squares of the "H" column, so, there is only one remaining square to fill (the square "Hi") and there is only one number remaining (the "6"). Then, fill the remaining square with the remaining number.

IF YOU HAVE A ROW OR A COLUMN WITH 8 SQUARES ALREADY FILLED, THEN THE REMAINING SQUARE MUST BE FILLED WITH THE REMAINING NUMBER.

Yes, I know, is an obvious rule, but, with this knowledge we are ready to learn the "only square rule".

Only Square Rule

There are lot of important sudoku tips, but this is in my opinion the most important "survival" tip. Just with this rule and the "Only Choice Rule" seen before you can solve any simple sudoku game.

In this case we have 7 squares of the "H" row already filled. But, which number must we write in the square "Ha", a 7 or a 6 ? Ok, now the tip: look along the "a" column and search for the 6 and the 7. If you found a 6 (for example the 6 in "Ba") then you can't put other 6 in this column, so, your only option is put a 7 in "Ha".

After that we are in a very familiar scenario, right? Just apply the "only choice rule" (write a 6 in "Hi") and you will have a complete row.

I hope this basic sudoku tips can help you to enjoy more this fun game. If you wish you can learn more advanced tips or put in practice your new knowledge with some fun sudoku games.

Enjoy!

This tip is ludicrous. Anyone not knowing this information already has no interest in learning sudoku
