my first flash. suks, but was a good try.

just when people expect dreamworks to make a decent animated movie to prove that not all animated movies are as bad and strictly-for-children as happy feet or or cars, they make a terrible sequel to the first two. one would argue that it was the best out of the three. it certainly wraps up the whole story quite a bit, but instead of giving you that feeling of "oh, its over. those movies were so good." it gives you a feeling of "wait...thats it!? nononononononononono, it cant be! the other two movies had to much of a story to end this quick." and since all toy stories already spoil the only part that could make this movie good(the shrek triplets), the movie is even more worse. some parts were funny, but not as good as the first two. even worse, those funny parts were already shown in the advertisements, so you already know what will happen. i might be exaggerating, but the movie was probably only an hour long! serious! all they did was go find "the next heir" to be the new king of far far away because shrek is to much of a lazy poop to do so. and when they do, fiona gets kidnapped along with a bunch of others at a baby shower. and guess who kidnapped them? prince charming, woop-de-doo. what a surprise. then the princesses saved themselves(an interesting scene already spoiled by the adverts). all is well. thats it. i wont spoil what happens to pronce charming, though. but thats it. basically. few chuckles is all the movie doses out. yes, the triplets in the end of the film were (admittedly) cute, but that wont save a horrible film that came from the reputation of being really great. everybody loves shrek. go to the kalahari desert and ask the merecats who's shrek. they'll know. but this movie probably disappointed most fans of the shrek movies. i know i was. i still remember how good the first one was, and i knew then, the series was gonna be awesome. guess not. and we can count on more crappy animated films about penguins in the future instead of good stuff like old times. and thats the thing, we adore what happed in the past so much, we forget about our future. sure, things from the past are cool, im not saying they aren't. but if we have to rely on what happened in the past for entertainment all the time and not move on to make new cool stuff, then pretty soon, we will have no entertainment at all. shrek 3 eventually will be stuff from the past, too. and worse enough, cg animated movies gained a reputation for being ridiculous, and thats sad. i give this movie 2/5 stars. i might update this for a second opinion, but this is pretty much it. tsk,tsk. and if youre gonna flame me for giving a spoiler in the comments, then think twice, because i warned you in the title. oh, and dont post to swear and be rude, this is only my opinion. if you like the film, thats okay. im not saying you're stupid if you like it, im just saying, i dont like it.
