Affiliate marketing is when you affiliate with a company by promoting the company or their products on your website. Those who are affiliate marketers will have a link on their page that takes the potential buyer to the company website. The affiliate marketer will be paid when someone clicks on the link and/or makes a purchase. Basically, the affiliate marketer advertises for the company and is paid a commission when an item is sold. Think of it as working in a high-end fashion store and you're paid a commission when someone purchases an item you've sold to them. Affiliate marketing is the same thing, but done with a computer in your home or where ever you may be. You could be on vacation and still earn a commission.
