She was not introduced with the poise and glamour associated with typical Yash Raj heroines. But newcomer Anushka Sharma, who danced her way into audiences’ hearts with Shah Rukh Khan in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi”, says she can always glam up for her next film for the banner.

Some sources from the sets of the film insist, “The film has just gone on the floors ten days ago and Shahid seems to be getting along famously with the leading lady Anushka Sharma (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi). Shahid has also been SMSing her quite a lot and no one can even believe that Shahid is the same guy who just ended a relationship or love.”

Says the source, “They needed someone strong robust young and determined and very North Indian as the lead in Hindi. They really wanted Anushka Sharma. She was perfect. But the producer was under the impression that she’s under contract with Yashraj Films and unable to do any outside film. Now they might settle for the actress who played the lead in the Telugu Arundhati in Hindi. Coincidentally her name too is Anushka.”

Anushka Sharma , the girl who debuted opposite Shahrukh Khan in the relatively successful Bollywood movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi , was being considered to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of the recent Telugu superhit ‘Arundhati’.
