Asin Thottumkal October 26, 1985) is an award-winning Indian film actress who appears in various regional Indian movies. Asin is known for her dedication to her work and is known to stay away from Rumours and remains as one of the less controvercial and respectable stars in the Indian film industry.

Asin means A-Sin where alphabet A was taken from Sanskrit word and the word Sin was taken from English language. These both combine to form the meaning "without Blemish-pure" or can also be called Sanctity. Making her acting debut in Sathyan Anthikkad's Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001), Asin had her first commercial success with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003, and won a Filmfare Award for the Best Telugu Actress for the film.
