Tattoos for girls
71Tatoos for girls
Tattoos have been getting more and more popular during the last years, especially for young women and girls. When I grew up, tattoos weren't fashionable at all. On the contrary: People with tattoos were looked upon as poorly educated and coming from a lower class. Women didn't have to have tattoos at all and if so, they were said to be coming straight out of prison.
Since more and more celebrities (and not only wild rock stars) have tattoos and show them proud and openly, it has become quite normal to get a tattoo for girls and young women as well.
Anyhow, the decision to get a tattoo is special for a woman. We take much better care of our bodies as most men do. After all we are carrying around unborn babies for 9 months and this is an enormous effort for the human body (something no man would really want to do). A man might decide to get a tattoo just to prove his courage or as part of bet. Something no woman would even think about when it comes to irreversible changes on your body.
Before deciding to get a tattoo, here are some tips you might think about as a girl or young woman:
- Pick the right spot on your body. Not everyone is tolerant and you do not want to get yourself into trouble with your boss or your future in-laws. A place on your body which can easily be covered might be a wise pick.
- Think very carefully about the design you want to have. Stay away from tattoos with the name of your lover. He might be gone one day but the tattoo will stay with you forever. And your next boyfriend might not be too amused if he has to look at the name of his predecessor inked on the body of his beloved one, every day. Be careful if you pick a very girlish tattoo. This may look cute on you as long as you are between 18 and 20-something but will it still be sexy on you when you are a mature woman of 50+?
- Make sure to pick a decent tattoo studio. Follow recommendations of friends who already got tattoos but always go there first and check it out before you finally decide. An absolute must is a perfect hygenic surrounding. They have to use new and sterile needles and instruments and work with disposable gloves on. You have to feel comfortable with the studio and the person that is doing a tattoo on you.
Today you can pick wonderful tattoo designs out of thousands of different design possibilities. However: The most important thing is that you feel absolutely comfortable with your decision. A tattoo will stay with you for a lifetime and you better make sure that it really is the right decision.
Think before you ink - is a statement more than true especially when it comes to tattoos for girls.
