Education Web 2.0
We know about YouTube. YouTube is a video sharing website in which anyone can upload videos for sharing for free. However, YouTube has a broad category and this might not be beneficial because of time consuming. The education world has moved into education web 2.0 where many education practitioners use the Internet as the resources of information and also discussion.
Based on the needs for education practitioners for reliable web 2.0 sites which would be very useful, Jason Smith built TeacherTube, a video sharing website like YouTube which is only for education matters. Jason Smith is a 14 year educator who has been a teacher, coach, campus administrator and district administrator in public schools.
About Teacher Tube
TeacherTube officially launched on March 6, 2007 and has got Google Page Rank of 6 just in 11 months. This website is in the position of under 150,000 top websites in the world according to Alexa and has 100,000 page views a day. While they claim to have 1 million page views a month and more than 9,000 videos have been uploaded and watched by about 40,000 users.
Jason Smith had the idea after feeling frustrated with other methods of sharing media throughout his school in McKinney, Texas. Then he and his brother, Adam developed the site. Jason's wife, Jodie, joined and helped to promote the site with through her blog. Jodie also has 14 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, campus technology integrator, and district curriculum coordinator.

Glad to know that there's such a site for us, huh. Keep it coming. I'm sure you'll be asble to help a lot of educators.
It's a good idea but i just think teachers need to just know what they're doing before they begin teaching. I don't mind if i have media in my classroom or not. And, google is fine with me. You just need to use common sense when using it.
this is a great idea, networking with other teachers around the globe gives us the opportunity to learn cultures as well which makes teaching global.
I found this page, www.interscool.com and I think is much better than teachertube.com it doesn't have all the ads that teachertube has
This is a wonderful effort. I really appreciate the efforts of various educators in creating such innovative web sites .It really will help in motivating the teachers to learn more and help our children to learn fast.It is an an eye opener for teachers who are still struggling with the 18th century tools of teaching and learning for our 21st century learners.
Congrats for all you great teachers.
