Synching Profession to Confession

Turbulent times have a tendency to quickly reveal who we really are based on our confessions. This is not a modern day revelation, just a casual observation. Most of us have well thought out and calculated strategies for success. We have also followed these plans meticulously from their inception and have benefited from them. We have stated to individuals in our circles of influence that these carefully crafted blueprints are the vehicles to get us to our targeted destination. This would be our “Profession” what we say we believe and know.

Enter turbulent times, news stories with mentions of recession at a rate of 2 per minute, massive job layoffs, bank failures, automobile manufactures at risk and home foreclosures at an all time high. With circumstances like these we at times find ourselves saying, times really are difficult and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. This would be our “Confession” our spoken words that we and others hear.

The challenge becomes how we sync our profession to our confession. This is not the easiest task to execute, it is however attainable by staying the course. These are the times to remind ourselves that the plans and strategies we implemented that brought us success in the past will continue to work with minor modifications. We also recognize that it is a global marketplace and we must be ready to serve it with all its technological nuances. Hold fast to the facts you know in regards to your goals and let go of feelings that are triggered by circumstances around you. It is your time to synch your profession to your confession.
