Teertha is FTI graduate, a gold medalist. In her debut film, she played the bold character of a prostitute in Telugu movie called “ SONTHA VOORU”. The movie released in last week of March 2009 is heading for a flop. It is neither an art movie, nor commercial movie. Director Sunil Kumar Reddy tried to make this an art movie, but alas there is no message in it.

The story drifts to no where as a young hero Raja falls in love with a prostitute Teertha in the midst of their love, there was political overtone when government announces that the village will be taken over and converted to Economic Free Zone – a la Singur, West Bengal.

The role of a prostitute gave Teertha to do some exposing. Teertha’s another movie Ee Vaysulu… another masala picture in the making.
