A teleseminar is a phone based conference. You will have one telephone number that everyone will call at the same time to listen to a speaker or host.
Most teleseminar or conference lines hold anything from 2 - 200 people! Imagine having 200 people on a phone call!
Telesemianrs are a great way to attract people to your business and what you do. It allows you to connect with people and begin building a relationship so they know, like and trust you.
It is also a great way to generate an income from your online business and is essential as more tools become available online.
Multimedia - audio, video, podcasts are all hot tools right now and learning how to use them now, could mean that in 5 years time you are the "go to" expert on your topic.
Some teleseminar systems provide live webcast facilities too

What Is A Webcast?
A webcast is a online version that people can listen to instead of using the teleseminar system.
With the teleseminar system you have to dial in which means people will incur phone charges and of course if it is an international call then some people may not want to dial in.
With a webcast they can listen to the call as it happens through their computer. They click on windows media or any other player that is on their computer and the call is broadcasted through that.
Some webcast pages will also have the ability to send in questions to the speaker so even if you are not on the call you can still get your questions answered.

You can see the players on the right that will allow you to listen to the teleseminar, it will show the box at the bottom left where you can add your question.

What Is A Webinar?
A webinar works just like a teleseminar, you invite a bunch of people along to listen to you as the expert (or your guest speaker) and they get to hear what you have to offer.
The difference though is that a webinar uses video. It can be used for live training if you want to show people how to use your software, or how to find their way around your membership site.
You can actual use the software and people watch you as you are doing it.
For anyone looking to teach someone how to do something this is an amazing tool to offer.
Many people offer both together, a teleseminar and webinar so you can be on the phone and ask questions while also watching the live video presentation of how things are done.
One of the best systems I have found for webinars because its reliable and low cost is Persony

Free Telephone Conference Systems
There are free telephone conference systems available and I have had a bad experience with them so don't recommend them.
If you are serious about running teleseminars as part of your online business marketing strategy then invest in your business with a system you know you can trust.
When I used the free system I recorded a call with the same couple 3 times and each time the call did not record... how embarrasing is that! I had to go back and ask them to do the call again. On the third time I didn't even bother!
Plus on one system that was free I was charged $25 to get access to the replay. Now this is fine if you are only running one teleseminar but if you plan to make a business out of doing this then invest in the right tools and be the professional!
If you just don't have the money right now then search in Google for "free conferencing systems" and you will find quite a few to choose from.
