Many paid survey sites simply send you an email and then once you have the email you answer lots of questions. Once you have completed the survey, you either get the money up front which is sent to you by mail or you are paid with points that can later be redeemed for cash or vouchers. 

  Now there is a new generation of paid survey sites. These sites allow you try the product in which they are asking for your opinions free of charge. To add to that incentive, you not only get the product sample, you also get cash for your time and efforts. Beware though, because while many of these are legit, many make you pay to join these sites. You shouldn’t have to pay to give your opinion. This means it’s just one more site that is out to rip you off.   

In some of these cases, you do have to pay a small fee even though the membership is free. This is because many companies that pay you the money to try the free sample and give them your honest opinion don’t have the funds to also pay for shipping and handling as those costs keep increasing, but they usually pay you a bit extra to reimburse you for the money you spent.

Once you have received, tested and reviewed the free products you are paid either via cheque or by points similar to various survey sites. 

Why are companies doing this? These surveys give the consumer the chance to know what they are judging. A lot of the surveys that they send to your email you have no clue about. You have to guess what they are looking for or what they are talking about. Just like when they ask you questions about restaurants. Even those that you go to, it’s easier to pay more attention to your surroundings and the food you if you know you have to answer questions afterwards and many companies are finding this out. They are really simple to do and please everyone in the long run. I mean, come on who isn’t up for some free samples? Everyone these days looks for a free something or another as the prices continue to increase with the drop of the stock market and more companies need more things on the line to help increase sales. So, in this survey who really wins? If you ask me, no on really loses. That’s why I join as many of these survey sites as possible.
