Raw Organic Candied Apples Recipe is fast and fun, only 5 minutes!
3 organic Gala Apples 1 Cup Raw Organic Carob Powder 5 Tablespoons of Real Raw Organic Agave Chopped Nuts: Walnuts, Almonds, Pecans 3 Mixing Sticks or Chopsticks
Wash the Gala Apples and dry, place on a plate. In a large mixing bowl hand stir the Carob and Agave adjust the amount of Agave more for a more liquid "Chocolate Sauce" less for a thicker sauce. Mix by hand using a fork, put the sticks into the top of the apples, then with a spoon cover the three apples with the raw organic "Chocolate Sauce" then sprinkle the chopped nuts on the sauce and enjoy! Kids and adults love this recipe.
Roasted Thanksgiving Veggies with Gravy
serves 6 Veggie ingredients: 4 large red potatoes 6 large carrots 1/2 of 1 large peeled turnip 1 large yellow onion 1 15-ounce can chickpeas (garbanzo beans); two cans may be used if desired 1 tablespoon rosemary 1 tablespoon thyme 1 tablespoon parsley 4 or 5 bay leaves Salt and pepper Olive oil
Instructions: Use more or less spice as needed or desired. Set chickpeas aside. Peel and slice onion. Cut remaining veggetables into bite-size pieces. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, carrots, onion, turnip, herbs, salt and pepper with a generous coating of olive oil. After veggies are well mixed, place in a 9-inch by 13-inch baking pan. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees until veggetables are tender. Place in a serving bowl and stir in rinsed and drained chickpeas. Serve with gravy.
Gravy ingredients: 1/2 cup olive oil 1/3 cup chopped celery and onion 5 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 cup or slightly less Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour 4 teaspoons nutritional yeast 2 tablespoons soy sauce 2 cups hot water 1 1/2 vegetable bullion cubes 1/2 teaspoon sage 1/2 teaspoon rosemary Salt and pepper
Instructions: Dissolve bullion in hot water, set aside. In a medium saucepan, sauté onion, garlic and celery in olive oil about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Stir in flour, nutritional yeast and soy sauce to form a paste. Stir in bullion broth. Season with sage, rosemary, salt and pepper. Keep stirring until thick. If too thick, add hot water; if too thin, add a little more flour. Re-season if necessary. Serve over roasted veggetables.
