There are quite a lot of companies who are seeing that LED lighting is going to be beneficial to their workplace. As lighting is often left on for large amounts of time in the workplace, LED lights can offer a substantial saving in the amount of electricity consumed during the day and over the long term this can all add up considerably.

Some companies have targets relating to how their impact on the environment and for these companies using LED lighting can help them to achieve these as they are a significant way to cut their carbon footprint.

LED lights can be used in a variety of work environments and in a variety of ways such as for decorative reasons, to light aisles, restrooms, bars, housing and to make large and small conference rooms more attractive.

Making large use of LED lights can make a building significantly reduce the amount of lighting they use. One example I have is of a company reducing their load from 75 kw to 30 kw and this paying back the initial outlay in just over one year! LED light bulbs are expected to last 50,000 hours and the cost require for maintenance of these is also much reduced from traditional lighting so the long term cost benefit is quite easy to see.

LED lighting is the future as there are so many benefits and all businesses and individuals will cross over to it eventually. It’s just a case of when!
