How do we define Corporate Branding?

When we hear the word toothpaste? We perceive COLGATE, for Coffee? NESCAFE, a soda? COKE. What makes these brands embed in our mind is not because of some spell or magic that enforce our minds to perceive as they are. The truth is these products and others have created a good Brand that we. They become a common household term or street term. And this maybe because of the right marketing sales and strategy, but are those enough to create such strong branding? If we define Brand it is an image or the Symbolic construct within the Minds of the people. This simply means that these products are already embedded within our minds. What is the reason for such instance? It is because it has already made a clear positioning in the market. The products are well known to give consumers or target audience what they need. Branding is an Advertising method used to create an acquired response. Branding today has already evolved from billboards, Television, radio, and through the most effective way is what they call word of mouth or viral marketing. The use of internet has paved way to a new meaning of advertising and branding, through online marketing strategies brands are getting more and more exposure.

What is a Brand? That still remains as a question. A brand is not limited to a product or services only, but it reflects the total image of the owner of these products and services. In other words an individual or the whole organization itself is a brand, and creating a good image would respond to trust, honesty, integrity and quality. In this regard we cannot associate branding through advertisement alone; advertisement alone cannot create a brand the brand itself must create its own image and symbol that people will trust. Creating A good Brand name is Vital in the Growth of a company, or its reputation and it even affects the reputation of everyone involved, nevertheless the image or the Company Itself and its people is a brand encompasses its overall product and service line. A Company which has an undesirable Image is most likely to collapse as whole rather than a single product or service only. Thus in Brand Empowerment one of the key points in success is the good, integral and trustworthy total corporate image, and that includes reputation and image of every individual working together as a single organization.
