the hipocrisy of our elites knows no bounds

As the daily telegraph reports today:

"The Prime Minister was served 24 different dishes during his first day at the summit – just hours after urging the world to reduce the "unnecessary demand" for food and calling on British families to cut back on their wasteful use of food."

I just don´t have anything else to add to this.

Great Hub. It is amazing how easy these guys make it for us to find material to write about. The irony is that, while you beautifully summed up the hypocrisy of the whole thing with a mere short three sentences, the PM and his fellow "leaders" worked up their appetites for the 24 course dinner by spending hours giving and listening to speeches about the food shortage and the need for average citizens, who work up an appetite by producing things of value, to sacrifice and cut back. To re-phrase an old saying - those who don't produce anything of value, lecture those who do produce on the need to conserve so that those who don't produce are able to over consume. Great job.

hi chuck,

thanks for your nice comment,

i know also a similar saying in spanish and goes like this "en casa del herrero cuchara de palo",

means more or less: "at the blacksmith´s home , you´ll only find wooden spoons",
