Japanese Ice Cream Products
73Ice Cream Goodness
Major varieties of Ice Cream in Japan are sold in various grocery and convenience stores. Some of my personal favorites come in cardboard cups, plastic tubes or are wrapped in cardboard. Sound strange? Well it isn't quite as strange as you might think! Here I'll illustrate all the various types of Ice Cream that I enjoy in Japan and maybe some day when you visit you'll be able to try some out for yourself.
In Japan a lot of ice cream comes in various containers. First we'll look at coardboard contained ice cream. There are boxes, cups and wraps of ice cream available.
The pictures on the right are of a soda float ice cream box which is pretty good. It's kind of bluish but is mostly ice cream.
The second one is fruit sorbet, the container you can twist in half and share with your friends, it melts fast so eat it quick!
The third is something more typical in the west, an individually wrapped ice cream cone with chocolate on top. Quite delicious.
Last is a SUPER CUP! It's a cup of ice cream but pretty large and quite delicious. Also melts quick so you gotta eat it while you can.
Going down the list we can see a cup of Haagen-Daz but the flavor is Green tea so it will be quite green, but tastey! Worth a try anyway.
Next is a Sundae Cup; chocolatey goodness. =)
More Flavors!!!
On the right we have an ice box, now this is a personal favorite of mine. It's a bunch of small pieces of flavored ice. Quite delicious, that flavor there is lemon flavored but I personally prefer pink grapefruit.
Next is a chocolate ice cream bar, pretty normal.
After that is a plastic container shaped like a bottle is available filled with coffee flavored ice cream. It's coming in a pack of two so you can share this as well with your friends.
Finally we have some waffle type ice cream that comes with a chunk of chocolate inside and ice cream. It's good but way to creamy for me.
This hub is a bit of a challenge since there really isn't anything more to say about ice cream than to show some pictures. If anyone has any questions feel free to let me know or drop a content. =)
