The New Network Marketing Model
67How to do Network Marketing by adding this.
Have you been trying to grow a network marketing business? How is that going for you? I'd like to tell you about my experience. Decide if it is at all similar to what you are going through. If it is and you want something to change, I can give you some hope. Keep reading and I will give you some ideas that you won't hear from your up-line.
Let me begin with how it all started for me. It was a Sunday evening about 8:30 and my phone rang. It was a friend of my parents that I had not spoken with for about 5 years. I had done her hair a few times and I thought she was calling to make an appointment for a hair cut. That was not it at all.
She was doing what I now know as a "three way call" with her business partner. He began talking and wanting to set up an appointment with me to show me their business. I really didn't want to look, so I put them off with, "I need to look at my schedule and see where I could fit that in". They said OK and we hung up. I was annoyed. After so many years of not hearing from my friend, suddenly she wants to sell me something.
The next day I had planned on blowing her off when she called, but her partner did the calling with his cell phone and I picked up since it may have been a hair customer.(I didn't recognize the number) I don't like to say no, so I went along with having them come and show me "the plan".
I'll tell you, I liked what I saw. Here was a way to earn income in a way that was not possible with any traditional self employment business, such as I was doing. In this business I could be earning money 24/7. I could actually go on vacation and be earning money while I was enjoying my time away. As a self employed person I know that I don't get paid if I don't work. I don't get paid vacations, sick days, personal days or any health insurance. With this introduction to the network marketing industry, I had found a way to have all of that. Time off, paid vacations, sick days, all of the above. I was so excited.
I thought everyone would do this. I only had to sponsor two and I would be on my way to a hugely successful business. I thought, 2 that's it. I bet a can sponsor a lot more than 2. Why would anyone say no to this amazing opportunity? They would have to be crazy.
I came home from my second business opportunity meeting and I was all fired up. It was contagious. My husband said he would help. He would sell products to the guys at work. This was amazing. We could work together.
I made our names list and we got together with our up-line and we started doing three way calls. I had a list of approximately 150 names. It took about 2-3 months to call them all as I work full time. By the end of that list, I had sponsored 3 people. That was OK, but 2 have since dropped out. Want to know why? Their list of people went no where. Everyone said no.
Next I started talking to every one I could get the courage to. I've spoken to waitresses, cashiers, gas station attendants and some I don't even remember. I hated every minute of doing this. I was stressed to the max. I couldn't go anywhere without feeling that stress. I have to talk to someone today, any one. You never know who will be your next big prospect. They might just be the one that will make your business explode.
If I went out and didn't approach anyone with my amazing opportunity, I would come home and beat myself up for days. My poor husband had to listen to me rant and rave. I must have seemed like a lunatic at times. This was crazy making.
How come every one was saying no? This was an amazing opportunity. What I didn't know was that this industry has a terrible reputation and people have been burned badly in the past. They are not willing to take another chance on this industry, no matter how great it looks.
There is a reputation in this industry of 97% failure. Can you believe that, 97%. I didn't know that until recently. No wonder people are running scared.
But, I have great news! I have found another way to grow a network marketing business using the power of the Internet. It is called attraction marketing and it is how thousands of struggling, frustrated network marketers are finally beginning to see hope. This is the answer we have been searching for.

Thanks Irene,
I appreciate the feed back. I know how I have struggled with this industry. I also see how some people around me are still struggling and unwilling to look at this option. I'm sorry for them, because they will continue to struggle until they are willing to be open minded enough to look. How many times have you heard the question, "are you open minded"? Well, I think some network marketers should listen to themselves. We ask other people to be open minded, so, we as network marketers need to ask ourselves that as well.
Thanks again for your input.
Michelle
Michelle,Your story sounds very familiar. It is hard to understand that not everyone believes in the same things that we do. It is much better to not have to go thru what you did and just allow the people that think like us to come to us on their own. Thanks, Becky
Renegade marketing is pretty cool!

Right on Michelle! Getting people to duplicate you by making a names list just doesn't happen. It's such a great concept if people would only do it. I love the Renegade system and the fact that we can all work together for everyones success. About the 97% failure rate; there is a statistic that has been around for a very long time that says at age 65, 95% of us are either already dead, dead broke or still working. I would much rather control my destiny than be stuck in a job with those odds! Irene Kirkman
