However, there has been some studies in the criminal justice of how ADHD relates to crime. Its known that as people grow up with ADHD, they become adults that are more aggressive than other people. Some studies show that crime is more often related to people with ADHD, but is not a rule. There has been going some studies of how attention deficit disorder affects aggressive people that act with impulsivity. Many criminals act irrational, so it needs to be investigated if the criminal behavior had to do with an attention deficit disorder or not. What investigators want to know, is how ADHD affects criminal behavior if at all, they need to ask the proper questions to understand in what degree a crime is the result of a mental disorder or other problem. There are attorneys that have been studying and consulting with experts of weather ADHD can be used as a defense for people that made minor offenses to more serious offenses such as violent crimes.I think that as more research is done into the relation of crime with ADHD is going to be more commonly used in law enforcement, judges and attorneys to determine if a person is guilty or just had an irrational mental disorder at the moment. This could have serious consequences either good or bad, this is an issue that needs to be treat it carefully, because you cant just say that because someone has ADHD is a more dangerous person.
