The LiL Foundation

The LiL Foundation (LiL stands for Love is Life) is a new organization. It is committed to improving human wellbeing and alleviating human suffering globally. LiL initiates charitable projects that support fundamental human needs such as shelter, food, education, clothing, and health care. The foundation is dedicated to social and cultural change that encourages a healthy lifestyle for all people.

The LiL Foundation is heading up its first project in February of 2008. Two volunteers are heading over to Southeast Asia to do some humanitarian work in orphanages and remote areas throughout Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. In Thailand, they will be working with Give and Live and the Lahu Helping Hand Project. They are currently working out arrangements with the other 3 countries. Their hope is to bring smiles and love as a result of their efforts.

They are holding several fundraisers for this project. The next one is Friday January 11, 2008 at the Rocknaisium in Davis, CA. The Rocknaisium wil be donating 50% of it's walk-in sales to LiL on that day. On January 19th, the LiL Foundation is holding a Raffle and Auction at the Rocknasium. Items which have been donated to this fundraiser include climbing gear, art, restaurant gift certificates, and concert tickets to Michael Franti & Spearhead. Finally, the LiL Foundation is seeking donations of both money and items to help in their efforts. You can find out more info on what they need and how to get it to them on their website.
