The Brothers Solomon is an upcoming 2007 comedy film written by Will Forte and directed by Bob Odenkirk. The film stars Will Arnett and Will Forte. The Brothers Solomon will hit theaters on August 31, 2007, courtesy of Screen Gems.

The film follows the Solomon brothers, John and Dean, as they try to grant their father’s dying wish of having a grandchild. However, due to their sheltered upbringing, neither one of them has the necessary social skills to meet, much less date, a woman. But that doesn’t mean they won’t try!

Social awkwardness is my bread and butter. Not only am I pretty lacking in social skills myself, but I also find the subject to be completely hilarious, as in Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm. I haven’t seen anything that Will Forte has written, but I am a big fan of his acting, as well as of Will Arnett’s. On top of that, I also enjoy Bob Odenkirk, the director of the film. This looks like it might shape up quite nicely!

Will Arnett is best known for his role as George “Gob” Bluth II on the hilarious comedy Arrested Development. He has also had guest appearances on shows like The Sopranos and more recently, 30 Rock. He can also be seen in the 2006 film Let’s Go To Prison.

Will Forte is a current cast member of Saturday Night Live, which is currently in its 37th season, if my math is correct. He was also in the recent comedy Beerfest, by the guys who made Super Troopers.

The film also stars Jenna Fischer (The Office), Chi McBride (Boston Public), and Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man).

A trailer for the film has not been released yet, but here’s a clip of will Arnett on Arrested Development with his co-star Jason Bateman.
