The blood of our children is spent to protect DRUG Lords in Afghanistan

American military men and women are dying to protect Drug Lords in Afghanistan.  Under American protection, the 68,000 American troops, the Karzai government along with his brother and other Drug Lords are making billions off the opium trade.  Our children, the US troops, are shedding their blood to protect the Afghan government that produces over 90% of the heroin sent to the US.

“News from the US military obtained by network news organizations show that the leader of Afghanistan President Karzai and his brother have now been linked to the lucrative opium drug trade of that country. The leaked documents show that Ahmed Wali Karzai the brother of President Karzai is involved in the drug trade and implicated with the country’s drug lords.”

Karzai is corrupt and is supported by Drug War Lords.  We know this and yet Obama is about to send another 40,000 young Americans to fight and die to protect this evil regime.

The news tells us that Karzai fixed the elections for president and that over 30% of all votes cast for him were fraudulent and yet we still support this guy, why?

“UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) – The U.N. General Assembly declared on Monday that Afghanistan's presidential election was both credible and sound, despite allegations of widespread fraud that led critics to question the vote's legitimacy.

In a unanimously adopted resolution, the 192-nation assembly also urged the government of re-elected Afghan President Hamid Karzai to press ahead with "strengthening of the rule of law and democratic processes, the fight against corruption (and) the acceleration of justice sector reform."

After 8 years and $250 billion in American taxpayer dollars, thousands of dead and injured Americans, we have a corrupt government run by Drug Lords.  Now we are told we are sending another 40,000 young men and women to fight and to die to help keep this guy in power?

This is total non-sense and worse it is immoral and stupid.  It makes no sense. 

Why is Obama doing this?  He is afraid of being called a peacenik and weak on the war on terrorism.  The right wing has everyone convinced that if Afghanistan falls to the Taliban the world will end.  It just isn’t true.

As I showed in the previous blog, the Taliban represents no threat to America.  They have never attacked Americans outside the occupied territory of Afghanistan.  Yes the Taliban are bad guys, but so are the Saudis and many others in that part of the world.

If the Taliban took over Afghanistan when we left would they let Al Qaeda set-up bases in their country?  They did this in the past and maybe they will again?  So what if they do?  We can bomb them out quicker than a New Your minute.  They wouldn’t be there for more than a day and we would see them from our satellites and bomb the hell out of them.

Would the Taliban close the schools for girls and establish repressive laws?  Yes they already have done this in most of the country.  But there are repressive laws in Saudi Arabia and other countries in that part of the world.  In fact the Saudis are less free than most Afghans.  The most dangerous strain of Moslem extremism is headquartered in Saudi Arabia.    

I say no more dead Americans to protect the Afghan Drug Lords.  No more American taxpayer money to protect the Afghan Drug Lords.
