blood running down my face

my ears have sprung a leak,

deafness surrounds me with silent noise,

it scares the hell out of me.

you call me on the phone I cant hear it ring,

you shout out my name in the street i cant hear you.

I cross the road and a car screeches to a halt but i cant hear it,

the driver shouting obscenities that I cant hear,

my children may be crying out in pain but I wont hear them.

I see pictures on tv but no sound

The world of silence is a scary place.

can you hear me.....????

sorry guys it,s how I have felt this week I woke up on Sunday morning with blood pouring from my ears. from an ear infection I have 2 burst ear drums and I haven`t heard a thing since,I have to see my doctor again on Monday about a possible operation if the infection is gone.....jimmy

I went to the doctors today the infection is gone,i have to go to hospital tomorrow morning, where they are going to slit open both my eardrums and insert little beads called Grommits, the beads will release fluid that has gathered behind the drum which is why i cannot hear .i keep thinking of little dogs in my ear lol, i will be in and out within 2 hours, i could regain my hearing straight away but it could take a few days to come back. it was amazing i heard for the first time in over a week today even though it was short lived the doc put a device behind my ear so that i could hear what he said but he wouldnt let me keep it boo hoo! lol.

i am upbeat today knowing that i will be hearing again soon.

I can hear only out of my left ear and not very well and how could i explain it tinny is the word that springs to mind.but the hearing is coming back wooo hoooo, it was like a visit to a dentist i sat in a chair whilst the dr got on prodding,probing and cutting in my ears i felt a release of pressure as soon as he made the cut. my right ear was more infected than the left but i am assured the sound will return to it in the next couple of days . i was told to lay on that side at night to help the release of fluid.

oh and did i say.........I CAN HEAR I CAN HEAR I CAN HEAR LOL CAN YOU GUESS HOW GOOD IT FEELS .....JIMMY
