The famous Bucket

Money for Nothing

See a penny pick it up and all that day you'll have good luck, even if it isnt true it is good advice you will be amazed at how much you will find over a little time.

In my home I have a small bucket (picture left) and in that bucket are 1ps,2ps,5p,10p,20p,50p,and £1 coins(p=pence) all of which members of my family have found in the street.

the bucket is half full now and we only started to fill it at easter time I counted it all about a week ago and found there was just under £71.00 of if you prefer $139.00 approx,

In 8 months, isn't bad going probably more than some people including myself can make in ad revenue from a website in that time.

when we do fill the bucket,or when it gets to £100.00 or $195.00 we are thinking of investing it somewhere, and let it build.

then we will start all over again finding pennies in the street until it fills again.

My children make a game of it when we go out seeing who can find the most, they have great fun and when they find a penny, the excitement in their eyes is plain for all to see.

See a penny pick it up,save it with the rest its money for nothing..

Well it is said that the Scots thrifty lol have fun.....jimmy

see a penny pick it up

suggestions for where we can invest a small amount like $200 would be welcome thankyou.....jimmy

Great Hub, Jimmy. I do the same thing, pick up what I see on the ground and add it with the rest of my change to a jar on my dresser and then deposit it to my savings account periodically. I just have one question. Since the Scots are so thrifty (I seem to remember an earlier Hub where the definition of a copper wire as being two Scotsmen fighting over a penny) is it the English and foreign tourists who are dropping these coins on the ground for you? Lol.
