Despite everything that we continue to hear on CNN, Fox News and CNBC, there is a silent portion of our population, right here in the United States, that are creating millions. We never hear about the middle class millionairein the news, now do we?

The number of American’s with net worth is upward from $1 million to $10 million has risen to 8.4 million, representing nearly 8% of US households and continues to grow at an incredible rate of 15% per year! One decade ago that number was only 1%, an 800% increase…Pretty significant, right? So, are you going to be part of these amazing statistics of the Middle Class Millionaire or the ones that CNN, Fox News and CNBC are reporting?

Do you fit any of these characteristics?

They are dedicated and tireless professionals. Many work 60 – 70 hour work weeks and place a high value on work ethic. They resent people who do not carry their load within the work place and those people who just cruise to get by. I am sure you know who I am talking about; always looking to do the least amount of work in their exactly eight hour day. They watch the time clock for breaks, lunch and for quitting time.

While these hard working people do come from a variety of professions, many of them are business owners and entrepreneurs. They are creating their own destiny and will not let other people side track what their dreams and aspirations are. They are a totally focused set of individuals, and they are not just the doctors and the lawyers. Believe me when I tell you I know plenty of doctors and lawyers who are not making ends meet.

Each and every one of these people belongs to networking or mastermind groups. They are membership oriented. They seek and value the association with those who already have had the success they are seeking. This is one of the oldest strategies in existence... Volumes of books have been written on the importance of Masterminding. One of the greats, Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich, devotes chapters of his book on the importance of belonging to at least one mastermind group, preferable several.

So what networks, organizations, mastermind groups and memberships are you currently associated with? If you can't name at least one or two, it’s time to start to think about either forming your own mastermind group of finding one that you can take an active part in.

Many of the Newly Rich In America has at least one, maybe two, heck, maybe even three major failures in their lives. Most are not born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouth. But they are resilient and they bounce back quickly from the adversity and tend to rise above past failures. In fact, in most cases they are stronger, better and even more successful because of their failures. They are poised and respond well to adversity. They continue to move forward toward their goals and no matter what, they do not give up. They do not quit. They have the persistence and the diligence to stay in whatever game they are in until they come out on top.

This to me is the huge. How many of you out there can honestly say that you do not give up on your dreams? That you take the actions that are needed each and every day, even when there doesn’t seem to be any payout at all for you? How many of you have the persistence to stay in whatever game you are playing long enough to reap the rewards of the hard work that you have put in?

They put themselves in favor of economic success. They've made their business decisions and taken appropriate actions based on income and wealth potential. They are visionaries of their future. They have their dreams, their plans and they deliberately choose lucrative opportunities to achieve the lifestyle that they are looking for. Let’s face it, you might be the most hard working and resilient person in the world, but if you choose to flip burgers at McDonalds for your entire life, and not actually own that McDonalds…realize that you probably will never get rich.

The Newly Rich In America are very careful about the choices they make in regards to career, business, continuing education, and their personal and professional associations. As we delve deeper into the economic turmoil of the day..it will be even more so. They also feel that what does not advance them causes them harm. Again, this goes back to the careful choices that they make. If those choices are not going to lead them to some sort of advancement be it personal or professional, the chances are, they will not make the choice.

In my opinion, however, what is so refreshing is that this new class of millionaires have middle class values. They are not flashy. They lead family and work oriented lives focused on financial security and peace of mind.

Are you on track to become one of these NEW 'Middle Class Millionaires?'

The key for you in 2009 and beyond is to analyze exactly how many of the above four characteristics you currently process in your personal and professional life. Chances are that your success will depend upon the action that you do take in these areas. And remember..it is never too late to take to develop of any of the four characteristics. Start to take the action today to be part of the New Rich In America, tomorrow.
