There are many books out there on pregnancy. Many of these books inform one on what to eat, how to dress, what to expect, etc. Rarely is there any information on enhancing the potential of the child, from a child’s perspective.

The life of a new carbon based human begins with brain wave and heart function. Most adults believe the child cannot understand and know what is going on and thus does not pay too much attention to the child other than what the mother does in regards to what she puts in her body though means of food and drink. I cringe though when I hear of doctors telling their pregnant patients that they can eat whatever they wish to eat as long as they get the correct amount of nutrients to the child. Once your child is born, would you feed your child fried chicken, ice cream, and kool- aid? I certainly hope not unless you wish for your child to be a very unhealthy individual. If one would not feed this to the child after birth, then why feed it to the child while he/she is still in the womb?

Humans over the years have come to enjoy excess in many aspects of life. One of these aspects is eating. Eating food is meant for survival and NOT for joy. Joy should be achieved through accomplishment and love, not through another material substance. Joy of eating is as hedonistic as joy of money or joy of a car. They are fun and I enjoy material objects a bit too much myself. This is though something we have been programmed with and something we must deprogram ourselves of in order to be truly happy at the root of who we are.

Many sources of pregnancy and pregnancy related topics are very vague and on the surface with their information. The information presented below is a practical application presentation of information obtained in which is meant to educate anyone on a healthy pregnancy and a truly healthy child.

First and foremost, your child should be created out of love. No matter what the circumstance, the female has been carrying around this child since she was born in her ovaries. The child is a part of her and has in a sense experienced each and every experience she has had. Love your child by taking care of him/her and talking to him/ her each day. Even when the child is the size of a half of a grain of salt, they are developing. The frequency of your voice and the surroundings are influencing and shaping the cell development. I give you a study in which was done on freezing water. In this study, ice crystals were formed by freezing drops of water. On one side, the water was ignored and neglected and not spoken to in a well mannered demeanor. On the other side, words were spoken to the water such as “love”. As the drops of water froze, there was a significant difference. The neglected water crystals froze in a non- uniform, almost mutated and ugly appearance. On the loved side, the water crystals were absolutely beautiful. They had great detail and well groomed in appearance. The same principle will apply with your child. At a sub- atomic level, the water and your child are made up of the same energy. Your child is also, as we adults are, made up of mostly water.

Some recommendations other than speaking kindly to your child and reading fun stories to your child is to make a couple CD’s and let them listen to them. I would recommend soothing classical music, most Disney music, and even stories by book and how to speak different languages or other educational material. I made a CD for our child which taught her how to speak five different languages and had on it educational teachings of Stephen Hawking in addition to many classical music pieces, music from Disney World, Notre Dame inspirational music, and the New York Yankees theme music. Understand your child may not come out speaking five different languages or be able to inform you of the Black Hole Paradox. However they will form and be shaped in a loving manner because you love them and took the time to put these pieces on an album out of love for them.

Some things I would avoid is the evening news, loud areas, yelling, fighting, heavy metal music, cursing, etc.

Barking of a dog is not necessarily a bad thing as the child will get used to the dog in the house when he/she is introduced into the world at birth.

I believe essential oils are also quite essential. Their frequencies play a vital role in the development of the child and relaxation and development of the mother. Before I go into the essential oils aspect of this, I want to let you the reader know that all essential oils are not created equal. Many essential oils are made by heat which breaks down its natural make up or mixed with fillers such as tar. Generally price is a good indicator of quality. I have seen lavender oil for $5.00 and rose oil for $10.00. It takes around 4000 pounds of rose petals to make 1 pound of rose oil. If you see rose oil for under $100.00. It is not pure rose oil. Much more is involved in therapeutic grade oil than just the purity. If they are not properly distilled, they won't be therapeutic grade.

The only two sources I would recommend are Wisdom Essential Oils and Young Living Essential Oils. Pricing is a bit better with Wisdom Essential Oils as of the date of this publication and Wisdom Essential Oils used to be part owner of Young Living before they split. Both companies though produce only the top essential oil found anywhere in the world. If you would like more information on the oils or to obtain them, please contact us at educate@ohp.athenianministries.org

1. Essential oils for Labor & Delivery

Essential oils are ideal for helping ease some of the problems occurring during labor. Nausea can be alleviated by using Peppermint or Spearmint oil in room vaporizers,

or for foot massage. Peppermint is a refreshing mental stimulant if the labor is long and tiring. Relaxing oils can help relieve some of the emotional trauma associated

with labor.

The inhalation of the vapors from Clary sage has been found helpful to improve the efficiency of uterine contractions towards the end of a long labor. However do not use until after one goes into labor as this can lead to pre-mature labor. Using aromatherapy for pregnancy and birth is also an age-old process. Aromatherapy is usually done to relive tension and promote relaxation. Massage is especially good for a woman during pregnancy to help relax the body and ease discomforts. Scenting the air can also relax or rejuvenate you, and it's easy to do. Add 2 to 6 drops of essential oil to a mister bottle & spray it in the room, or 2 to 4 drops of essential oil to a diffuser to add a soft fragrance to the air. Additionally, you can add 2 to 6 drops of essential oil to a cotton ball with a gentle oil such as lavender, place it on your pillow. One can put lavender on their hand and then rub my hand over the pillow when I'm trying to relax or having trouble sleeping.

Remember to use a cold diffuser if you are diffusing oils. Heating with a candle or potpourri burner is not diffusing. Never heat the oils; it changes the chemical constituency. During labor and delivery, aromatherapy can be a very useful tool. Used correctly, essential oils can help ease pain and discomfort, aid in opening the breathing passages and provide you with a general sense of comfort and relaxation. Some wonderful essential oils to use during labor & delivery include:

Gentle Baby - (an oil blend from Young Living)

This beautiful combination of oils is for mothers and babies. It is comforting, soothing, relaxing, and may be beneficial during the birthing process, as well as helping to relieve stress during pregnancy. The oils of rose, rosewood, palmarosa, geranium, ylang ylang, and chamomile have traditionally been used in European cosmetics to enhance

the youthful appearance of the skin.

How to use: Diffuse, apply over mother's abdomen, on feet, lower back, face and neck areas. Dilute with Mixing Oil (olive oil) for full body massage.

Lavender

A wonderfully versatile oil with a gentle fragrance, is very helpful for dulling and easing uterine pain and for relieving back and leg pains. Lavender is also a calming oil that can relax you and ease nervousness. Use Lavender for massage, in compresses for the lower back or in a diffuser or bowl of hot water to help cleanse and purify the air in the delivery room. Restores unbalanced states to a more harmonious state, and has been said to strengthen contractions.

Bergamot

It has a refreshing uplifting quality. It may help relieve anxiety, stress and tension.

How to use: Diffuse. Apply to forehead, on temples or on location.

Note: Do not apply to skin that may be directly exposed to

sunlight or UV rays within 72 hrs.

Jasmine

A wonderfully warm fragrance, is very helpful during childbirth. Its analgesic and antispasmodic properties can help dull uterine pain while strengthening contractions to help shorten labor. Jasmine has a gently uplifting quality on the emotions and is a great confidence builder. Use for massage by itself or mixed with Lavender. Jasmine is also useful as a compress on the lower abdomen directly after birth to help expel the placenta.

How to use: Diffuse or apply topically.

Clary Sage

This works well as a muscle relaxant, relieving stress and tension in the body.

Chamomile (Roman)

Very gentle, soothing and calming to the mind and body. Helps calm the irritated, fretful or nervous person.

MORNING SICKNESS

One of the most common problems occurring in early pregnancy, which essential oils may help, is morning sickness. Peppermint oil is an excellent treatment for this problem,

and simply inhaling the oils vapors from a bowl of hot water can relieve the nausea. (KEEP THE EYES CLOSED WHILEINHALING.)

You can also put a drop of peppermint on your tongue, only if YOU ARE USING GRADE A or GENUINE & AUTHENTIC grade oils. Otherwise they may have chemical adulterants & you would not want them in your mouth.

2. Essential Oil Recipes for Pregnancy and Labor

MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING GRADE A or GENUINE &

AUTHENTIC grade oils. Otherwise they may have chemical

adulterants and could be dangerous.

Evening Massage

We used this each evening on the stomach and then the rest of the body for a massage each evening. There is no exact science to this formula other than after much research it appeared correct and was made with the utmost in love. Each evening for the entire duration of the pregnancy, I rubbed this on my wife.

Mix in a base of olive oil

40 Drops Lavendar

40 Drops Valor

40 Drops White Angelica

40 Drops Frankinsence

10 Drops Myhrr

10 Drops Highest Potential

25 Drops Abundance

10 Drops Idaho Tansy

20 Drops Peace and Calming

40 Drops Brain Power

15 Drops Cyprus

Morning Formula

After a shower each morning, my wife would rub Brain Power and Gentle Baby on her stomach.

Water Retention Massage Oil:

2 1/2 Tb. almond oil

1/2 Tb. jojoba oil

1 Evening Primrose oil capsule (approx. 10 drops)

2 drops Tangerine

1 drop Lemon

4 Cypress

4 Lavender

3 Geranium

This can be used all throughout pregnancy. Relax on the sofa with your legs raised by pillows. Apply the oils to your feet, ankles and legs, massaging toward your heart to

help circulation. The help of your partner would certainly be appreciated.

Pregnant Itchy Skin Blend:

2 1/2 Tb. Almond oil

1/2 Tb. jojoba oil

1 Evening Primrose capsule (approx. 10 drops)

1 Vitamin E capsule (approx. 10 drops)

4 drops Tangerine

4 drops Geranium

4 drops Lavender

4 drops Cypress

3 drops Lemon

This blend uses the same essential oil’s as the above Water Retention blend, with differing amounts of the essential oil’s. This oil can be used almost daily during pregnancy. Apply it to wet skin after showering, especially on the growing belly. It may help in not having to experience the itch that most mothers speak of, plus it could be beneficial for stretch marks. (Gentle Baby and Prenolone+ cream also work well on stretch marks).

Three Weeks Before Delivery:

8 drops Geranium

5 drops Lavender

1 oz. almond oil

Mix and rub on the perinea three times a day. This helps to soften the cervix and thins the membrane to get ready for delivery.

One Week Before Delivery:

8 drops Geranium

5 drops Lavender

5 drops Fennel

1 oz. almond oil

Apply this on the perinea to further get it ready.

Labor Diffusing Blend:

40 drops Lavender

37 drops Frankincense

21 drops Ylang Ylang

20 Chamomile Roman

Diffuse into birthing room, if possible. This is so very important as it helps relax the mother. A relaxed mother makes for a relaxed child. A relaxed mother and child greatly reduce the chance for complications.

Labor Cooling Compress Blend:

10 drops Jasmine

5 drops Chamomile Roman

5 drops Geranium

20 drops Lavender

Use in a bowl of water; swish a wash cloth and use to cool mom's head and face.

During Labor:

4 drops Helichrysum

4 drops Fennel

2 drops Peppermint

5 drops Ylang Ylang

3 drops Clary Sage

1/2 oz. mixing oil

Apply only after the labor starts. Massage inside the ankles, on little toes, little fingers and lower tummy and back.

After our child was born, I applied Myrrh to her newly cut and clamped umbilical cord. Do not use water or alcohol as is commonly used. Myrrh conditions the skin and area and the cord will fall off in a few days as compared to a week or two using water or alcohol.

Each night as well as the massage on my wife and after birth, I would anoint each (my wife and child) on their forehead and hearts with Frankincense. Frankincense oil is distilled from the resin of the frankincense tree. It is considered the holy anointing oil in the Middle East. It was well known in the time of Christ for its holy anointing powers. It was used to treat every ill known to man and was valued more than gold in ancient times. Researchers have shown that frankincense is high in sequiterpenes, which helps stimulate the limbic systems of the brain (center of emotions) as well as the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands. The hypothalamus is the master gland of the human body, controlling the release of many hormones including thyroid and growth hormone. Frankincense is being researched further and currently being used in European hospitals to build immunity and treat cancer. In ancient times it was well known for its healing powers and was used to treat every conceivably illness in every human.

Below is an experience of a happy individual who has used essential oils during their child birthing experience.

Experiences: Using Oils in Pregnancy and Labor. Thank you for mentioning using lavender in sitz baths on women who had to have episiotomies during childbirth. I spoke with a friend last night. Her daughter gave birth Sunday morning. It was quite stressful and traumatic on both mother and baby. The doctor spent 2 hours sewing her up from major tearing. I suggested spraying Lavender in the area. She emailed me this a.m. saying that she can walk without pain. Aren't these oils wonderful!

Peggy

Another extremely important thing in pregnancy is to eliminate all toxins from the environment. This includes cleaning with only a non toxic cleaner. Many cleaners use harmful chemicals which kill brain cells and the fumes of the toxins pollute the blood and thus flow through your unborn child. I recommend Thieves cleaner. Please contact me at educate@ohp.athenianministries.org for more information.

Laundry detergents also introduce toxins to ones blood. The harmful chemicals of the detergent and fabric softener cling to the clothes and enter the blood through your skin. A recommendation would be to use a laundry ball which energizes the water and cleans clothes just as well as the detergent. The ball is relatively inexpensive and knowing that you can use it for a few years; one will really save by not having to purchase detergent any longer. We use the Miracle II ball. We have used it for the past five years and no one has informed us that our clothes smell or look bad yet.

If you are having troubles with using a laundry ball and really need to add something to the washing machine, use Borax (found at most food stores) and Arm and Hammer Washing Soda. This combination cleans clothes very well and kills bacteria.

Instead of using a fabric softener sheet in your dryer, try using 20 drops of lavender instead. It may be applied to a sock or underwear to give the clothes a fresh smell and feel.

Other toxins in the house may be mold, radon or smoke. Ensure no one smokes in the house or around the mother to be or child…EVER!!! Also check for mold and radon and clean it with Thieves oils (Three Robbers). This works as well as bleach but keeps the mold from growing back longer. If there is mold present, you should find the source of the mold and correct it.

I would recommend utilizing air filters in each room as inside of the house is the most polluted air source. If this is the most polluted air source and the USA is the most air polluted country in the world; a toxic problem could occur. I would recommend an ionizing/ HEPA/ UV light combo such as a Nikken air system (contact me at educate@ohp.athenianministries.org for more info on this) or even a system made by Honeywell. We purchased one for each room at Sam’s Club. The initial expense may be high, but the long term benefits will save you money and increase happiness by increased health.

DO NOT LET THE MOTHER TO BE PUMP HER OWN FUEL. During my wife’s pregnancy, I pumped her gas for her each week. I did not want the toxins of the fuel to be breathed in and passed on to our child. It may be a hassle at first, but this is temporary and for a greater good.

Ensure the mother to be is not exposed to great amounts of harmful EMF’s (Electromagnetic Frequencies). These frequencies have been shown to cause cancer. High amounts are radiated from computers, televisions, microwaves, etc. When watching television, sit as far away from the television as possible. If using a microwave (more on these when speaking of nutrition), go into another room until it is done. If one must use a computer, use it sparingly. Devices may be used to neutralize these EMF’s such as pulsars. Other devices may work as well. Buy or make a few and test them and find what works best for you in your home and vehicle.

If you have the ability to purchase a bed by Nikken which contains their patented magnets, do it. Before conceiving and after the first trimester, it appears very safe (this statement has not been evaluated by the FDA. It is not intended to treat, diagnose, or cure any illnesses. By doing so do at your own risk). My wife and I have used this safely. When you think about it logically, sleeping on magnets makes a lot of sense. When we are asleep our body automatically slows down our heart rate and respiration rate, we enter into a rest phase our body doesn’t need so much energy to function. The excess resources of oxygen and nutrients that are available during sleep are directed to the areas that need them the most, namely injured areas, it is at night-time when most of your body’s healing takes place. Sleeping on magnets actually stimulates and enhances this natural process. The magnets dramatically boosts the body’s natural healing process; reducing the time it takes for your pain to be relieved and for your mobility to be increased. I am a firm advocate of sleeping on magnets, they encourage copious supplies of oxygen, healing nutrients and pain killing hormones all over the body. They regulate the sleep hormone melatonin promoting deep and restful sleep and they leave the user rested and energized on waking in the morning.

One very minute item one might wish to purchase for their home and care for is a plant. Either a spider plant, peace lilies or a crysanthumum actually will absorb toxins in your environment which includes the harmful toxins given off by rugs and carpets.

Exercise is vitally important. My wife, while pregnant, worked out at least three times a week which included stretching and yoga. I would not recommend getting pregnant and then beginning a work out program. I would begin a work out program now. Work out programs need not be lifting weights, stretch, go home. They should be considered “Fun Sweaty Activities”. Find something you enjoy in which is FUN and you attain a sweat. This can be swimming, playing a sport such as tennis or basketball or hockey, etc. This can also include taking a class or running or yes, lifting weights. Consult your primary care physician before beginning any new program. If you are unsure of where to begin, consult a competent personal trainer. Ensure they are certified through a competent certification body such as the NSCA, NASM, ACSM, or ACE.

Exercise helps regulate your hormones to you and your child and can increase blood flow to the uterus which brings more proper nutrients to your child which can aid in proper healthy development.

The most important item to discuss has been left to last as it should be covered as the most through. This is nutrition. Nutrition is comprised of two separate topics. The first is water. Without water our bodies cannot properly function, process or assimilate properly the nutrients we obtain from the food we eat. The second is solid food. This includes anything we put into our mouths which is not only water.

Water is essential to all body functions. Our body is comprised of mostly water (60%). Without it we die. We can find water on any street corner, ocean, faucet, etc. What type of water should we drink. This is for not only those pregnant, expecting, or nursing, but all humans. A general rule of thumb to know how much water to drink is as follows:

Bodyweight = ounces needed minimum to drink per day = amount to drink per hour

2 oz. hours awake

+ 8 oz. per pound of body weight lost per day

Many believe they should drink filtered water because the water from their faucets is not as clean as they would like. This is a good start. While most towns attempt to do the best job they can in delivering clean water to you, one cannot be sure in which sneaks past the filtration system and inspectors.

Most people in an attempt to drink clean water drink bottled water. This is an extremely BAD idea. The plastic bottles used in bottling water contain DHEA which is toxic to your system.

The next step is reverse osmosis filtration. This may clean your water and kill everything in it, but it kills everything in it, namely the water. Reversing the energy of the water can also neutralize its energy and thus you are drinking dead water.

Other filters may be good but we have found the filters at www.ionways/OHPWater.com to be the best. Drinking the right kind of water is one of your best natural protections against all kinds of virus infections such as influenza, pneumonia, whooping cough, measles and other infectious diseases. Doctors advise bed-rest and plenty of water for the flu. When the body’s tissues and cells are kept well-supplied with ample water, they can fight viral attacks more efficiently. If the body’s cells are water-starved, they become shriveled-up, parched and dry, making it easy for viruses and diseases to attack.

Always bear in mind the important functions of the right kind of water in your body. Water is a vital component of all body fluids, tissues, cells, lymph, blood and glandular secretions. Water holds all nutritive factors in solution and acts as a transportation medium to the various parts of the body for these substances. The mucous membranes need plenty of water to keep them soft and free from friction on their delicate surfaces.

Reported Benefits of Drinking Ionized Alkaline Water

Ensure you monitor your ketone and pH level each day by using testing strips. They may be found at www.ionways.com/OHPWater If you have the time, take a sample, mid- urine stream each time you urinate during the day. Store it on ice. At the end of the day test it. This will give you a more accurate reading than testing either in the morning or afternoon, etc. If your levels are off, please feel free to contact us at educate@ohp.athenianministries.org so we can help educate you on your nutrition and how to ensure all levels are correct. Incorrect levels can be harmful to you and your child.

Now that the water is ensuring nutrients move properly throughout the body, we need to cover the nutrients. First and foremost, stay away from caffeine. It is a drug. If you take a lot of it and attempt to stop, your body goes through withdrawl. Anything your body goes through withdrawl with, cannot be good. If you go through withdrawl, your child will also go through withdrawl. This is not right to your child.

We wary of toxins in your food as well. An excellent reference would be, The Consumers Dictionary of Food Additives by Ruth Winters. It will help inform you of what the ingredients actually are in foods. ALWAYS read the labels. If sugar or salt is listed within the first few ingredients, stay away from it. If you cannot pronounce it, do not eat it.

Looking past the fact that some people love food, that some food is more expensive than others and that some foods are more harmful to you than others, food can be broken down into basic elements, as can the waste products from it being metabolized.

Food can be broken down into 3 categories -- protein, carbohydrate and fat.

Food is also made up of 4 basic elements -- carbon, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen.
Carbohydrates do not contain nitrogen. All 4 elements are of course, abundant in the air, so he talks about Science finding a way to make food from air.

Mixed in with these elements are many inorganic minerals such as sulfur, chlorine, sodium, calcium, etc. These can be divided into 2 further categories, acid forming and alkaline forming.

Acid forming minerals
sulfur
phosphorous
chlorine iodine

Alkaline forming minerals
sodium
potassium
calcium
magnesium
iron

We have about 5lbs of these minerals in our bodies that help to perform essential functions.

99% of the calcium and 80-90% of the phosphorous are stored in our bones and teeth. The rest is found in soft tissues and body fluids. Irritability of the nerves is increased when the amount of calcium in the blood is below normal.

When there is no reserve to use, the body takes it from the bones -- usually the spine and pelvic bones first. 10-40% of the calcium in bones will be eroded before it will show up on an x-ray.

Any absorbed calcium not needed is excreted by the kidneys into urine. Normal kidney function is essential for normal metabolism of calcium and other minerals.

Phosphorous is essential to chemical reactions from food and to synthesis of cell membranes and DNA/RNA.

Calcium rich foods
seaweed
black sesame seeds
tofu
milk
yogurt
carrot leaves,
green scallions
spinach

Phosphorous rich foods
miso
eggs
salmon
mackerel
tuna
bonito
codfish
chicken
black sesame seeds
seaweed
white rice
pork

Sodium and Potassium
Are similar minerals. Sodium is more outside the cell in the body fluids, whereas
potassium is more within the cell.

The ratio of cell to body fluids and all types of muscle -- including the heart -- are influenced by sodium/potassium. It is vital to have a healthy balance of these 2 minerals.

Sodium and potassium together with proteins, phosphates and carbonates work to maintain the proper acid/alkaline balance in the blood.

Sodium (proper sodium) pulls toxins out of cells while potassium drives nutrients into cells.

Potassium foods
soybeans
carrots
potatoes
fruits -- apricots, avocados, bananas, dates, oranges, watermelon
chick, duck, lamb, pork

Sodium foods
ham, bacon, corned beef

The perfect food with a combination of Sodium and Potassium is celery. The stalk has the sodium and the leaves have the potassium in a perfect blend.

Iron
Exists in the blood hemoglobin, some also in the liver and bone marrow. Iron is essential for the transport of oxygen to the cells.

Iron foods
vegetables, miso, meat, chicken, fish
cow's & human milk -- traces
animal liver, canned prune juice -- the best

Magnesium
Is similar in both function and location to calcium and potassium, found mostly in the bones. Muscle tissue has more magnesium than calcium, blood more calcium than magnesium.

Low magnesium concentration causes greatly increased irritability of the nervous system and cardiac arrhythmia.

Sulphur
We intake sulfur mostly through protein. Some of the more important sulfur containing compounds are amino acids, cysteine and cistine.

Chlorine
Found in sodium chloride or common salt, it assists in the formation of all digestive juices, primarily gastric juice which contains hydrochloric acid.

Chlorides assist digestive secretions and are necessary for elimination of the nitrogenous waste aspects of metabolism.

Excluding water, 97% of our food consists of carbohydrate, proteins, fats and fiber which are made from carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen. Less than 3% of our food is in the form of inorganic minerals.

Acid and Alkaline foods
In determining the pH of food, first it is burned to ashes. 100g of the ashes are then combined with a liter of ultra pure water. Now the acidity or alkalinity as well as the strength can be determined.

Unfortunately, since 97% of the foods we eat come from carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen, they cannot be burned completely by the cells and leave organic acid wastes with no help from the organic minerals. The most common organic acid wastes are uric and lactic acid.

Waste Products of Food
The amount of organic acid wastes is always more than the inorganic minerals that can neutralize them, so even if you only ever ate alkaline forming foods, your urine and perspiration would still be acidic.

These are the common wastes:
Acetic Acid
Lactic Acid
Cholesterol
Carbonic Acid
Ammonia
Uric Acid
Fatty Acid

Ammonia comes out through the urine and in CO2 from the lungs

Sulfuric Acid
Hydrochloric Acid
Phosphoric Acid

These must be neutralized by the alkaline minerals of sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium.

The neutralizing products thus become:
potassium carbonate
sodium carbonate
magnesium carbonate
sodium bicarbonate
calcium carbonate

Acid wastes that aren't flushed out, will accumulate in the body. Un-dissolved uric acid crystals accumulated in the joints causes arthritis and gout. In younger people, the kidneys are able dissolve the uric acid.

Acetic acid, lactic acid and cholesterol are derivatives of Fatty acid, which will build up with an over-ingestion of carbohydrates and not enough exercise.

Intense exercise creates a lack of oxygen in the cells, which causes lactic and acetic acid or incompletely burned carbohydrates.

Lactic and acetic acids lower the pH of body fluids drastically. When blood contains too much of these fatty acids, blood pH is dragged down and the buffering system commences. Another way is to solidify some of the acids.

This is cholesterol. Even if you eat food containing no cholesterol, your body will still make it. Cholesterol builds up as plaque in arteries and the result is heart problems.

Phosphoric acid
A kidney stone is a hard mineral deposit formed from phosphates (a salt of phosphate acid), urates (a salt of uric acid), etc. Phosphoric acic contains some calcium to neutralize it, hence kidney stones look like calcium deposits.

For this reason, kidney stones are often confused with excess calcium, but there is an easy way to test. Calcium deposits will dissolve in acidic urine, while kidney stones dissolve in an alkaline solution. This build up happens as we age.

Hydrochloric acid
The human body creates hydrochloric acid or stomach juice as required. There is no pouch as it would be damaged by the acid. It is produced by the stomach walls when the pH of the stomach rises above 4.

As hydrochloric acid goes into the stomach, bicarbonates are injected into the bloodstream. When the food reaches the small intestine however, it is too acid, so the pancreas shoots pancreatic juice into the small intestine and hydrochloric acid into the blood stream.

When the blood receives an acidic solution, we get tired and drowsy. The neutralization of this acidic solution by the alkaline compounds such as sodium carbonate create carbonic acid, which makes you lethargic.

This explains while we feel don't feel drowsy until after a big meal, once the food has reached the small intestine and hydrochloric acid has entered the blood stream.

We use more sodium to neutralize acid wastes, however this leaves the chloride in the form of Chlorine. We need alkaline minerals such as sodium, calcium, and potassium to neutralize it.

Some foods offer different energy and nutrients, however since all food is 97% carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen and only 3% alkaline minerals, no matter what you eat, acidic wastes will be created.

If we help our bodies dispose of 100% of the wastes daily, we prevent the accumulation and maintain good health. In short, we can eat anything we want. A general rule of thumb is you should be having about as many bowel movements as you eat meals per day. If you are not you are most likely accumulating toxins which are being absorbed into the blood and the child is absorbing. If this is the case, a simple remedy may be used. This would be to take a complete source of digestive enzymes with each meal, ensure you are drinking plenty of fluids, and ensure you are taking either Alfalfa and/or Spirulina to ensure you are obtaining a complete blend of minerals which help facilitate proper function of your bodies organs and systems. Sulpherzyme may be used (www.wachters.com ID# 11512) to facilitate this function.

All foods, junk or health, expensive or not, good tasting or bad produce acidic waste products the body has to get rid of.

Other than eating a complete variety of foods each day, my wife did take supplements to ensure our child had a complete variety of nutrients. These were:

Paragon- Pre-Natal
Country Life- Pre-Natal Omega Complex

The reason we used these is because through much research, we felt these were the best for our family. I encourage you to research these and others and find what works the best for you.

She also drank a tea twice a day. This tea consisted of:

100% USDA Organic- Red Raspberry Leaf
100% USDA Organic- Nettles
100% USDA Organic- Alfalfa

Omega’s are vitally important for brain development and function as well as heart, gastrointestinal, and kidney functions. Omega’s from flax seeds actually clam children and nourish nerve fibers which is crucial in proper development. These are an important key to any successful and healthy pregnancy, child and mother.

The tea is an extra added boost to the mother and child as the nutrients obtained offer a few important features. The red raspberry leaf reduces swelling around the mothers ankles and feet. It also helps when she goes into labor by helping to strengthen pelvic and uterine muscles.

Nettles is rich in nutrients such as calcium and iron. It also helps subtly with aches and pains commonly associated with pregnancy.

Alfalfa is possibly the most perfect food found on land. It is rich and abundant in every mineral known to man and assists with cellular function.

There is quite a bit to know and with knowing the proper information one will be ready to conceive a child. After the child is born I certainly recommend continuing each and everything mentioned above (making adjustments as necessary) while the mother breast feeds. Breast milk, while delivering all proper nutrients (including water) to the child also delivers histidine which children do not obtain through formula. This is essential in children under five years of age. After the age of five they have the ability to produce their own. Histidine helps with allergies, contributes to a healthy circulatory system, chelates trace minerals and removes heavy metals, reduces tension, and aids in the production of red and white blood cells. While it may be difficult and frustrating at first, breast feeding will help your child develop at a more advanced rate and keep your child healthier (as breast milk may be natures most perfect anti- biotic), than others who feed on formula.

Some things may appear confusing and others may seem strange. When you are ready to know you will understand. Bringing a child into this world is no easy feat. It should not be taken lightly and one should take great pride in doing so. Your child is our future. What future the world will have depends solely on you and how you raise your child.
