I know it's early, but my money's on Jason Castro
OK, we haven't even heard the girls sing yet, but Jason Castro is my favorite on Idol so far. That cute kid, David Archuleta is my runner up. But Jason Castro reminds me of my absolute favorite artist, Jack Johnson.
There's been a lot of talk about this season's contestants having professional experience, but really, the talk should be about the humble, sweet, talented guys.
Not only are my favorites young and good looking, but they are genuinely talented and plain 'ol greatful to be on American Idol. I just love it.
Of course, I'll have to edit this or add more pages as the season progresses. But, having been a fan of American Idol since day one. And, having attended the actual tour (yes! I met Chris Daughtry and he's even hotter in person) I can confidently say Jason Castro really has a shot at being the next American Idol.
Oh and best part of this season... performances are available on itunes... you can be sure I'll be purchasing!

I was happy that David Cook won... just don't think little Archuletta has enough charisma beyond "aw shucks, gee, golly" to be marketable. I mean, the kid's talented... not saying otherwise, but well, Cook is more fun.
Interestingly enough, the digital downloads data from last week shows that Cook has like 16 songs in the top 200.... Archuleta has a few... and then, get this, Jason Castro comes in third! He's like the next Jack Johnson... I still stand by that!
