Truly, you could search all over the world, travel to its ends and still you would know that the city of New Orleans, the jewel of American, is still one of the most magical places in the world.

Truly, no one can visit New Orleans just one time. Visit every year. There's so much to do, you'll never get bored in the city.

And if you know someone or can meet local folks, I'm sure you're guaranteed to get an even more enriching experience.

Contrary to popular belief, there's never a bad time to visit the city, even during Hurricane Season.

How To Beat The Heat In New Orleans

Of course the most logical thing to do if you visit the city in the summer is to STAY INSIDE during the day.

There are so many museums and inside tours that you can take part in to avoid being in the heat mid-day.

Additionally, since there's plenty of water around, why not spend some time on the water on a swamp tour, boat ride across the Mississippi, fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, or even at the water park in nearby Baton Rouge.

Most would agree, despite being a grea place to visit year round, Spring is the absolute best time to come. The humidity is still fairly low. You can spend your days inside or out, and the need for serious air conditioning is low.

Also, most of the music & cultural festivals happen in the Spring. Jazz Fest, the French Quarter Festival, the Festival International de Louisiane, the Strawberry and Tomato Festivals.

The Satchmo Festival takes place in August and the Essence Music Festival take place in July, so don't feel bad. You wont' miss all the fun.

Charting Your Activities During Your New Orleans Sight Seeing Stay

I've always found it more interesting to just immerse myself in a new place, without having a stringent schedule or itiniary. New Orleans is one of those places that definitely lends itself to that. We locals certainly don't move very fast, so you won't get more than "laissez-faire" out of us anyway.

Relax, enjoy, and be merry we say.
