Tight Jeans, Veins, Nerves, and Why I Love Jogging Pants

I Love Super Fit Jeans

Since I was a teenager, I have loved super fit jeans that clearly defined the curves of my legs and buttock. And to achieve this effect more, I would patiently do lots of sit-ups, squats, and jogging sessions, especially before I left for school. I would then wear fit jeans and have great satisfaction displaying shapely legs and buttock with them in school.

Even today, I still have pairs of fit jeans and wear them now and then, but only for a limited time. My rule is, I should not wear them longer than 4 or 5 hours. And my love for fit jeans is steadily being replaced with a crazy fondness for loose pants, especially jogging pants. Why? Well, it's a long story, but I'll tell you two reasons: studies on fit jeans and veins, and fit jeans and nerves.

Varicose Veins

I know that varicose veins affect mostly women, but the phrase "mostly women" gives a hint that there's some chance it might affect some men, too. And I don't want to be numbered among the few lucky men who get it.

I get some discomforts when I wear fit jeans for long--like wearing them for longer than half a day. This is especially so when I sit a long time in a chair or even a soft sofa and my leg muscles are hindered from freely expanding when pressed against the seat due to my fit jeans.

Gravity makes blood circulation difficult for the heart to pump into a healthy flow. If we give the heart further difficulties by wearing tight jeans, that might trigger varicose vein troubles. So, I worry about my tight jeans and veins. By the way, fit jeans, high-heel shoes, plus standing too long is sure to lead to varicose vein problems.

So that leaves us with nothing much except wearing shorts and walking barefoot. But wait, there's good news. If you love jogging pants and other non-fit or loose apparels--like I'm beginning to--then you may stop worrying about your fit jeans and veins. Schedule wearing fit jeans during times when you have to be out for 4 to 5 hours only. Anything longer than that would have to be done wearing loose or jogging pants. Even social gatherings. More about this later.

Permanent Nerve Problems

Again, for most women, wearing fit jeans for long may spell serious nerve problems, even permanent ones. And though there's little chance that men can likewise be affected, I don't want to make it to the Guinness as among the few lucky (or unlucky) men who contracted a nerve disease due to a too fit pair of pants.

Experts say it begins with numbness and a tingling sensation. If you often wear tight jeans and often feel these symptoms, it's a sign that you should begin to opt for what I'm espousing here--loose or fluffy pants, like jogging pants. So, consider seriously your tight jeans and nerves.

A gauge to see if your jeans are too tight is this--do you find it very difficult to take them off? If so, you may be a candidate for nerve disease.

Other Reasons for Opting for Jogging Pants

Okay, I'll tell you some of the long story why I'm beginning to love fluffy or jogging pants. With tight jeans, I find it hard to kick fast and high. Why is it necessary for me to kick thus? Because I'm a martial arts street-fighting instructor. And I often teach students without much ado on uniforms. I tell them street-fighting means you're able to fight with the regular clothes you have on. You don't tell a criminal in the street that you have to change into your martial arts uniform before you can tackle him. No. You tackle him with whatever you have on, right on the spot.

So, years back, I often taught students wearing white shirt, tight jeans, and sneakers or leather shoes. And they were often amazed--it's their first time to see an instructor in such attire. Sometimes I even wore Barong, the customary Filipino formal wear.

But then later, I realized the unhealthy effects of always wearing tight jeans. It's not good to always interrupt your blood circulation and upset the nerves. Since then, I started loving jogging pants and other loose and light material pants. I became conscious of my tight jeans and veins, tight jeans and nerves.

Wear Jogging Pants on All Occasions

Wear jogging pants in weddings or business conventions? Why not? But if you can't stand being too radical or odd about clothes, then opt for loose formal pants. That way, you can both maintain healthy veins and nerves and kick fast and high--if you're into street-fighting.
