We all want that flawless natural looking make up look, at least I know I do.There are countless ways to apply foundation and concealer to achieve the look you want.

It took me some trial and error, to find the techniques that work the best.

So I've gathered a few for you to try!

On a clean face:

1. Moisturize. It's important to keep your face (as well as the rest of your body) hydrated. It's best to use one with SPF, especially if you'll be out when the sun is. A general rule of thumb is to multiply the SPF # by the amount of time that you can last out in the sun before getting burned. For example, i can be out for approximately 5min. so i would multiply 5 x SPF 15 = 75. So a moisturizer of SPF 15 would give me protection for 75 minutes under the sun.

2. Concealer. It's best to chose one that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin color, peachy color. Less is more! Though you might be tempted to use quite a bit, it will look very obvious (especially over dark circles under the eye). Also it can make areas where you apply it stand out, and won't allow for even color coverage. If you have redness, you should try a green corrective stick to counteract the red.

3. Foundation. You can find foundation in diverse forms and shades. There are liquids, matte, mouse, powder, and mineral powder, even organic make up. If you're lucky you can find a perfect shade. When choosing a shade try it on top of your hand, that is the area that more closely resembles the skin [color] on your face. I like to mix 2 different foundations, A lighter shade and a medium yellowish tint, because that gives me the most natural looking color. I would also recommend a foundation w/SPF.

     Application:

Liquid, matte, mouse foundation :You can use a foundation brush, a sponge applicator, a brush or your hands. A brush won't get your hands full of make up, and will allow for blending areas that need it more. Using a water moistened sponge applicator works nicely and leaves your face feeling fresh and hydrated. You can also always just use your hands; make sure they're clean. I personally prefer using my hands because I get the foundation on and blend it faster; and time is a luxury I do not have.
Mineral/Powder: You can use a brush for applying mineral/powder foundation. Make sure to find a brush that works well for you. I like kabuki brushes for applying mineral foundation because it gives more coverage, and works faster for me. I recommend you try different brushes, because they are NOT all the same, and I've found some to be irritating to my skin.

tip: try a translucent powder over your foundation (after you've applied your blush) for a flawless finish. I use the bareMinerals: Mineral Vail.

Hope, this gives your that flawless gorgeous look you're looking for!
