tips for putting lights on a christmas tree
70In decorating the Christmas trees, lights take a major part in beautifying it. So before buying, plan to which kind of lights, you prefer to decorate the Christmas tree for Christmas. The common light used to decorate is the small twinkle lights. These lights come in different vibrant colors from which one can be chosen which suit the Christmas tree this year. Some new products has been manufactured which will further give special meaning to the Christmas tree. It includes light that can sing, have flash patterns, run and fade in and out. Do not forget to test that all the lights are in working condition in the shop itself before buying.
The number of lights required to decorate the tree of course depends on you. But basically it is a default that for one foot of the tree it needs to be 100 bulbs to decorate it. For example a tree of 7 foot will need 700 bulbs to wind around it. For bigger and longer trees, it is advisable to get several shorter strands of light rather than getting a whole one continuous strand of light which will mess up. Winding and untangle the whole strand will be a difficult one.
Start winding the lights around the trees as you desired. Some like to start from the top and wind the light around the tree till the bottom. But in this case the excess light in the strand will be gathered at the bottom and will not give a neat look. Some start winding the lights from the bottom and move towards the top. Wind it to your taste slowly without leaving any uneven space and equally placed on all the branches till the top.
Help yourself with chairs around the tree when you go to the top to wind the lights around the upper branches, if you feel your height is less. Also take the help from the other members of the family while decorating the top of the tree, as this will not only a safer idea but also it brings merriment of Christmas among you all which will be a memorable moment which you can share in the future.
The cords should be hidden in the part which the people won’t have a clear insight. If finished decorating the lights around the tree as well as hiding the unwanted cords then it is time to visualize how you have decorated it. Just dim all the lights of the room and switch on the lights for the Christmas tree. You can see the adjustments if necessary to be made when you do this. All this has to be done before decorating the tree fully with the ornaments and tinsel. Once you think you are finished with decorating the lights then start decorating with other ornaments.
With the useful tips given above, decorate your Christmas tree with lights along with your family members. Decorate it in such a way that you all will like it and been appreciated by everybody. Thus every Christmas will bring a lot of memorable moments to treasure. Have a Happy Christmas!!!

Make sure that the tree you buy is fresh. If possible, cut the tree down yourself. Many tree farms let you tag a tree ahead of time and have it cut down on the day you take it home. A tree that is fresh will not lose many of its needles when shaken. Give the tree the "shake test" before you buy it.
