The advantages of more than one media player.

I have 9 different media players on my PC and most of you are thinking that's a bit extreme, yet some of you are already enjoying the benefits of having more than a few players.Their are many tips and advantages and reasons of Viewing videos on your PC With more than one player are. With (Windows media player) you are only able to view one video at a time and if you wanted to view another video with W.M.P the existing video will close and reopen with the new one..... When viewinga webpage with (integrated W.M.P. feed) this means when the player is embeded in the page, your able to view more than one at a time when opening a new indow.This applies to Real player and other players you may already be using.

With "Quick-time" and "V.L.C" player your able to view as many videos as you like which is so useful, The other advantages are that some players wont have the appropriate "codecs" which are "codes" that are needed to view videos you have on your PC, which can be downloaded yet sometimes not so easily.. I find V.L.C one of the best players and has never let me down when it comes to having all the right codecs, The only downside to this player it has too much "border" round the edges which take up too much space on the screen and doesn't look so sleek .This is where "Power DVD takes over in sleekness ,its just a shame it can only open up one video at a time.

No player is designed for anyone in mind and they all have there pros and cons, so use them with your individual for your individual needs.

To view video based content ON the web.....You all need WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER W.M.P installed on your PCs and "Real player" and "Quick time player", which are the top 3 commercial players.

The problem with viewing W.M.P Windows Media player When it comes to viewing web based video content is, you will only able to view one feed-video at a time,You wil have to open another window to view another embedded video which will enable you to view more than one feed simultaneously. But if you launched the external player, its at this point your only able to view one W.M.P external player at a time, if you open up another "external video,this will automatically close the existing external player and reopen with the new feed. The only way to view many video feed at once with W.M.P is by opening up more windows and choosing not to launch the external player,most pages do not have this "launch external player" facility. The same applies with Real player and quick-time player.

In addition to this information some players will use up more processor than others which is another thing to observe of especially when viewing multiple videos and choosing the right player for you..For help in determing how much recources each player is using see here.
