Five things to know about tiredness and did you know that if you feel tired you are not alone? In the USA and Europe one in four persons suffer from tiredness, and that tiredness is becoming known as the modern plague.

 We now have stressful, busy lives and most people will experience tiredness sometimes. Usually a good night sleep and some rest and relaxation will leave them feeling refreshed and ready to take on their daily activities.

For some of us tiredness can become a problem. People will tell you to get more sleep, drink some coffee, drink some tea, there is nothing wrong with you and you are just lazy; any number of solutions to solve the problem as they see it.

Sleeping long hours, drinking cups of coffee, taking energy pills and other stimulants on the market does not always help in the long term.

There can be a number of reasons for feeling tired and this can be due to a combination of causes.

1. Physical cause. Tiredness can cause you to avoid physical activity. However being unfit means that you become more tired.

2. Emotional cause. Stress and worry make you very tired. Stressful situations are draining and make you irritable and tired. Depression can cause tiredness and can leave you with little energy for all the tings you love doing with family and friends. 

3. Lifestyle causes. Looking after small children can be draining

4. Many types of illness can leave you feeling tried.

5. Sleep problems. Not getting enough sleep can leave you feeling unhealthy and confused.
