59Get The Scoop on Nail Fungus Cures Before You're Too Late
There are four clinical presentations of nail fungus, among these the Subungual Onychomycosis and Distal are the most common. There is another type of infection which is considered to be very dangerous; it is called Proxymal Subungual Onychomycosis. The reason for this is due to its association with Aids.
In some cases there are infections that can spread through the frames of your nails. An example of this is Onychomycosis. Although the visibility is not exactly rare, these specific infections can be tough to treat.
The nail for example when infected starts to become thick and dull in appearance. After a short time it will become increasingly brittle and start to crumble. When this takes place you will eventually lose the nail.
One can treat the infection in the traditional way, i.e. self treated, or one can get prescribed medication from a doctor. The majority tend to go for the doctors prescribed medicine, that way a positive outcome is guaranteed. Be advised though that some medications can cause side effects, this is especially so for those who may have a pre-existing liver condition, medications can also cause allergies due to high toxicity.
An example of patients who may suffer with a depressed immune system are Diabetics, the elderly, and patients with HIV. When taking medication understand that the treatment will need to be taken over a long period of time. One best way to treat nail fungus is through prevention.
One way you can tell is based upon the appearance of your nail, once it starts to turn yellowish the fungus is essentially back again; sometimes the nail can also turn brownish. When undergoing treatment, touch the tip of your toe nail to make sure that it is not becoming brittle.
Lamisil is said to cause less side effects compared to Sporonox. When taking these medications it is known that they can cause benevolent drug interactions such as vomiting, rash, diarrhea and nausea to mention a few. In some extreme but rare cases, unpleasant incidents such as hepatitis and acute hepatic necrosis can occur. These topical treatments can only be taken with a prescription. Other prescriptions which can treat the nail are Carmol40 and Keralac Nail Gel. These can prove to be effective in reducing the thickness of the nail and improving nail discoloration.

Wow. I never aware of this problem before. Maybe because I'm a guy. I told my wife about this because she loved to decorate her nail so much that she may not aware of the problem it may cause. Anyway, thanks for sharing this information.
I also believe prevention is one of the best ways to treat anything. It's funny how such small thing like nail fungus can lead to such big problems if you don't pay attention...
