1.Google

Google is a web search engine owned by Google Inc which was originally developed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1997 ever since then it emerged to be the emperor of search engines. 75% of the web users always google for there querys and google doesnt dissapoint them. infact seaching google is not so difficult.



2. Yahoo!

Yahoo! is a web search engine, owned by Yahoo! Inc. Yahoo provides good search results powered by their own search engine database.


3. Bing! (MSN Live Search)

Bing which was formerly called as Live Search, Windows Live Search and MSN Search. The new Bing went fully online on June 3, 2009



4.AOL Search - Powered by Google

AOL LLC (formerly America Online) is an American global Internet services and media company operated by Time Warner. AOL is best known for its online software suite, also called "AOL", that allowed millions of customers around the world to access the world's largest "walled garden" online community and eventually reach out to the internet as a whole


5.Ask

Ask.com was originally known as Ask Jeeves. The idea behind Ask Jeeves was to allow users to get answers to questions posed in everyday, natural language. Ask Jeeves supported a variety of user queries in plain English (natural ), as well as traditional keyword searching. Ask.com still supports this, with added support for math, dictionary, and conversion questions.


6.AltaVista - Powered by Yahoo!

AltaVista was created by researchers at Digital Equipment Corporation's Western Research Laboratory who were trying to provide services to make finding files on the public network easier


7.Fast (AlltheWeb.com) - Powered by Yahoo!

AlltheWeb grew out from FTP Search that debuted in mid-1999.It was used primarily as a show piece site for FAST's enterprise search engine.  AlltheWeb never became as popular. AlltheWeb had a few advantages over Google, such as a fresher database, more advanced search features, search clustering and a completely customizable look.

Founded in 2000, Gigablast was created to index up to 200 Billion pages with the least amount of hardware possible. As a search engine Gigablast provides large-scale, high-performance, real-time information retrieval technology.


9.Netscape Search - Powered by Google

Netscape also has a wide variety of community-based forums within Netscape Forum Center, including its browser's community support board. To post on the forums, users must possess an AOL Screenname account in which to sign in, referred to within the site as the Netscape Network. The same service is also available through Compuserve Forum Center.
