Travel the World with Less Money
68
There is no such thing as a late bloomer when comes to traveling, I start traveling when i was 27 years old. I don't know what took me so long to decide but I finally did. It was an adventure. Traveling with little amount of money on my pocket and still have the best time of my life.
I went to 3 different countries with only $ 500 and went back with $150 surplus pocket money and 2 luggages full of stuff. I can share with you 3 major secrets i learned while traveling.
1. Booked your flight ahead. - Know first where you wanna go!!! You can save a lot on air fares when you booked your flight ahead of time. Choose safe and clean budget airlines coz air fares are really cheap. Unlike booking in a commercial flight and get the same size economy chairs like the ones in budget airlines. The Good thing in Booking ahead of time is you get to plan ahead all your itineraries. Load your travel days with really fun and exciting activities.
2. Call all your friends. - Call them and tell them you are coming for a vacation. You can save a lot of money in hotel accommodation. You ask your friend if you could stay for few days in their house. Here's what a good friend will do you... she/he will let you stay and tour you around the metro during your stay. Save on Hotels and tourist guide...how’s that? Make sure to give them something before you leave ...anything like a famous souvenir from your hometown. So you make them feel that you’re thankful. That is called Gratitude man! It’s nice to share good memories with close friends or relatives.
3. Shop wisely - Please know that you only have little money so you got to be careful in buying anything. Make a list of the things you wanted to buy and make sure to leave your impulse buying syndrome at home. Make sure to canvass and choose store who offers the best and great deals.
Take a lot of pictures with all the people who you've met during the entire trip. Take pictures of all the beautiful places you've been and make journals of your travels.
Update: I’m up for my next destination. I'll be leaving on the 31st of August for Bangkok, Thailand and Singapore. I’ll keep you posted on my life’s journey....
Hope to meet you someday.....
