NFL Picks Week 10
53Week 10 Games
Detroit at Minnesota: I don't think it's much of a question that when the 2nd worst defense in the league goes up against Brett Favre's arm and Adrian Peterson's running game, things will get messy. Vikings will win big.
Tampa Bay at Miami: After winning their first game of the season, don't expect the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to come out with back to back wins when they visit the commendable Dolphins. While Miami's defense isn't anything to brag about, Tampa's offense isn't much of a task for any defense to handle. I think Ronnie Brown and the Dolphins wildcat offense should have this one decided early.
Buffalo at Tennessee: Two of the lowest scoring offenses and two of the worst defenses in the league (the Titans are last in points aloud per game) face off at LP Field. In a game featuring two struggling teams, I expect mainly the Titans to beat themselves. Bills should have no problems taking this one.
New Orleans at St. Louis: There's really no chance that Drew Brees and the Saints will blow their so far perfect season against a team that's averaging less than 10 points per game. I expect New Orleans to blow St. Louis out of the water early on.
Jacksonville at NYJ: After a great start followed by a terrible collapse, I look for the Jets to come off the bye week and beat the Jaguars by a few scores. Despite winning the first 3 games of the season only to now be 4-4 the Jets still have the 4th best defense, as far as points aloud per game goes, with their only real defensive weakness being stopping the running game. So long as Mark Sanchez stays calm and regains himself after having a week off to settle down, the Jets should win this game in a close one.
Denver at Washington: Off of a tough loss to the Steelers last week, the Broncos will beyond question be at their best level when they go to see the defective Redskins in Washington on Sunday. I think they'll have no problems beating one of the worst offenses in the league, the Broncos will win big.
Atlanta at Carolina: Being second in the NFC South, with the way the New Orleans Saints are playing, every game is huge for the Atlanta Falcons as they will try to put themselves in position to win the wild card. The Falcons will have no problems shutting down the Panthers in a probable blow out.
Kansas City at Oakland: Not exactly an appealing matchup, I think the Chiefs will come away as the better of these two bad teams and beat the Raiders pretty easily.
Dallas at Green Bay: Like it or not the Dallas Cowboys are hot right now. Even though playing in Green Bay is never easy, I think Tony Romo's hot streak will continue and the Cowboys will come away with the victory.
Seattle at Arizona: Playing at home should give the snowballing cardinals more than enough of a push to defeat Seattle, but this one should be close.
Monday Night
Baltimore at Cleveland: The Cleveland Browns have the 3rd worst offense in the league, on Monday night they'll face off against Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens 9th best defense. A recipe for disaster to say the least, the Ravens should walk away with this one without a problem.
Games of the Week
New England at Indianapolis: Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady, enough said. In one of the most anticipated games of the season two of the leagues best QB's go head to head as they try to lead their teams to victory. Peyton Manning is second in the league this season for total passing yards, third on that list is Tom Brady, but with three of the Colts best defensive backs injured they will be forced to play two rookies on veteran receiver Randy Moss. This could give the Patriots the advantage needed as both teams are otherwise evenly matched. I think the Patriots will win in a nail biter at Indianapolis.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh: Two very evenly matched teams will meet in what is shaping up to be a very exciting and thrilling game. Cedric Benson will look to dismantle the Steelers tough defense, while Big Ben Roethlisberger, and his swarm of talented receivers, will try to do what they've been doing all season, score rapidly through the air. All things considered, I think the Steelers will take this one in a very close game.
Philadelphia at San Diego: With both of these teams in second place in their divisions, both are desperate for a win to increase their chances of a play-off birth. After the Chargers won in a nail biter last week over the Giants, and the Eagles lost a devastating game to their division rival Cowboys, this should be yet another close game. With neither teams having much of a running game, the pressure will be on Philip Rivers and Donovan McNabb to get the job done in the passing game. In the end, I think the Eagles will come out as the victors in a tightly contested game.

I like Cincinnati, although I'm pretty shaky on that one. Kansas City outplayed the Raiders the first time, but let them off the hook. I think they will get it together this time. And Buffalo is terrible on the road, so I think the Titans will keep their streak alive another week
