TV Fishing Lures

Who hasn't been watching TV when either a commercial or infomercial comes on with that fancy new lure that is guaranteed to catch more fish than you can shake the proverbial stick at.  This webpage is dedicated to the illustrious fishing lures that you see on your television.  That is right, the tv lure that you just can't keep your eyes off of and that you just have to add to you tackle box.  If you want to see videos of the lures check them out below.

Banjo Minnow How To

How To Use A Banjo Minnow

We have all seen the commercial on TV for the Banjo Minnow.  There are ads all over the internet also.  Here is a good video depicting how to cast and reel in the lure for the best action.  Notice how he makes sure to twitch the rod to impart a swimming motion on the lure.  You can choose to keep the lure below the surface or to swim it right up against the surface.

Kicktail Fishing Lure

Kicktail Fishing Lure

Kind of like a jointed crankbait on steroids, the Kicktail fishing lure is meant to mimic a wounded minnow as it is retrieved by the fisherman. With only 1 treble hook it makes it a bit harder to hook the fish, but the body is designed to allow for great motion and the tail is meant to really look like a minnow.

Bionic Minnow

Bionic Minnow Fishing Lure

The "Bionic" minnow is a soft plastic lure that is similar in concept and form as many other soft plastics on the market today.  That isn't the real reason for this lure being unique in design.  No, it is the corkscrew type part of the front of the lure that makes this lure what it is.  By not having any backbone in the soft plastic portion of the lure or hooks it is free to swim naturally in the lake like a minnow would.  This gives the lure a unique action that catches fish.

Conclusion

The tv fishing lure is a thing that is watched often on infomercials in the mornings in every city in the United States.  The sensationalism can be a bit much to swallow at times, but the lures themselves do catch fish.

Ok, I'm guilty, I do watch the infomercials. But have also fished with the Banjo and they are pretty awesome thing to see. Haven't had as good as luck as you see on tv but they do work and have caught fish with them.

I think we all watch the infomercials. And most of the lures work that they are selling. To your point is whether they work as well as advertized...
