Eye Makeup Problems
Do you have a problem keeping your eyeshadow on even for just a couple of hours? Is it all washed out or full of creases by the end of the day? Do you think there's no hope in the summer off having eye makeup that lasts all day?
I've had this problem for years. I tried using foundation as a base and setting my eye makeup with powder, but that only helped lengthen the time it stayed on for an hour or so. And in the summer heat it didn't help at all. I was told about Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion and decided to give it a try.
Have you tried eyeshadow primer?

The primer potion comes in a small bottle (10 ml) with applicator, but a little goes a long way. It's creamy with the texture of a very light moisturizer. I use one dab on each eyelid and gently rub it in. I wait a couple of minutes before applying shadow.
The active ingredient is silicone which makes it go on nice and smooth. If you want to know exactly what's in the primer potion, click on this ingredient list from the company's website.
Potion is Exactly Right
This product is aptly named. I'm not exaggerating when I say it really does seem to work like a magic potion. There have been days when I applied eye makeup (shadow, eyeliner and mascara) early in the morning after applying the potion, and it's still perfectly in place close to 10 hours later in the evening. It also keeps my makeup crease proof even when I've been outside in the heat.

Primer Potion Drawbacks and Advantages
The only drawback of the primer potion, if you can call it that, is that it works so well you need a good eyemakeup remover to get your eyeliner off. The eyeshadow comes off easily though.
I admit I don't buy a special makeup remover as my usual cleanser (Cetaphil) works just fine. I do need to use a little more water to clean eye makeup off when I'm wearing the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I haven't had an allergic reaction to the product, and I do tend to have sensitive skin. I especially develop sensitivities to eye makeup products but haven't yet had a problem with the potion. I love this stuff and highly recommend it to add staying power to your eye makeup and prevent that annoying creased look.
Because of the shape of the product's bottle, when you think it's all gone, there's actually quite a bit left inside. See the video below to learn a trick for depotting the primer potion and make your product last longer which saves money in the long run.
