Tryin' to win the 8th title

The news arrives from the headquarter of the Yamaha in Japan, the Italian rider has signed (voices say for approx 12 million Euros) for the Japanese manufacturer until 2008. This news break every hope to the Ducati fans that hoped to see the "Doctor" on the Italian Bike. The seven times World Champion will try to win its third title with the Yamaha, after some rumors that gave it in contact with teams of Formula 1 or the Wrc (World Rally Championsip). In this year Valentino have to try to exceed the champion of last season "Kentucky Kid", Nicky Hayden and his Honda RC212V (800 cc, for the new MotoGp rules for improve the riders safety).

In the last yeas Valentino has tested great number of high speed vehicles, we can remember the tests with Ferrari F1 in Fiorano, Mugello and Valencia circuits, with the Maserati Mc12 Gt car in Fiorano, the races with the Peugeot 206 WRC, the Subaru Impreza Wrc and lately with the Ford Focus WRC (in the Monza Rally Show against the ex World Rally Champion Didier Auriol and the 24h Le Mans winner Dindo Capello), the test with the Mercedes DTM in Hockenheimring and one race show with the Kart 125 Birel-Tm against the World Champion Sauro Cesetti.

The other great news is of the possibility that the constructor of automobiles Fiat undertakes one sponsorship with the team Yamaha Motogp, it seems that in the next few days the official announcement of this agreement between Torino and Iwata can arrive. in this case, it is probable that the Bike of Valentino this year has one various livery from the past, probably white, red and blue. The other possible thing is that Fiat engage Valentino in the newborn World Rally Championship with the "Grande Punto" Super2000 that the last year has conquered the Italian and European championship. The WRC cars are too much expensive and the FIA has decided to launch one new World-wide series with less expensive cars, always with 4 wheels drive but with a natural aspirated engine that will replace the turbocharger. We will see what happen in this Motogp season, for now we have seen a great challenge between the constructors, with lap times impressive if we hold count that the new rules have slowed down the top speed. Probably it will be a Championship so hard for teams and riders, than it will be only resolved in the last races as it has succeeded the last year. Gentleman, Start Your Engines!
