World class golfing destination

Out past the glittering lights of the Las Vegas strip, Las Vegas offers some of the most challenging and fun golf courses in the world, including two TPC courses located in the master planned community of Summerlin. Over the years Las Vegas has become an international tourist destination and the demand for more varied entertainment grew.

New master planned communities started popping up around the valley and in neighboring cities. The demand for golf course lots grew and many communities started incorporating new courses into their designs. The result was an explosion of new courses, designed by some of the top names in golf. Some of the courses created are restricted to members of the community.

As the city grew, more restrictions were put in place making it harder to build new courses. Consequently, the availability of Las Vegas golf course real estate declined, especially new construction. There are a few new courses planned that have been grandfathered in. Vegas is also host to several PGA and celebrity fund raising tournaments throughout the year.

If you are planning to do some golfing while on vacation in Las Vegas, it's a good idea to make reservations ahead of time. During the peak months, it's not uncommon to book tee times several weeks in advance for the more popular courses. See you out on the links!
