Verve Energy Drink review

At $3 plus a can, Verve energy drink is priced similar to high compared to others that I like. I can't drink coffee anymore so I have moved to energy drinks ( I think I actually save money over what I used to spend on coffee ! ).

The taste of Verve is unique ....I never get energy drinks with sugar so the Verve sugar-free is what I drink and know. It's good, fruity and when you read the label is a good, healthy drink. I think it does have caffiene in it but I don't feel like my heart is running a marathon after one ....I like it and I definitely feel better after drinking one than I do with coffee ( sorry Starbucks ).

Recently I ordered another healthy energy drink called FRS. And I like it much better than Verve.

One thing you will definitely notice with both FRS and Verve is that they taste "healthy"...meaning unlike many energy drinks that have a carbonated soft drink taste these drinks taste like more fruit and less "soda". Maybe that's why they advertise them as the "Healthy energy drinks".

As a kid, I used to drink a powdered drink called "Tang". It was advertised as the drink of astronauts! The orange flavored FRS reminds me of Tang. and I really like it.

For me, the best part of FRS is how I feel after drinking them...I drink one on my way to work in the morning and another mid-afternoon. At home, I use the orange concentrate and mix some with cold water. It's great.

Ingredients:

The main ingredient in FRS is quercetin which is an anitoxidant found in the skin of apples, onions and red grapes. It also has green tea and many vitamins. It has some caffeine but much less than other energy drinks.

Verve has some green tea in it, aloe vera?, mangosteen, ....of course, taurine ( all energy drinks do ). I also feel good that I can drink more than 1 a day ...with some other energy drinks ( especially Red Bull and Monster ) I don't know how to describe it but I feel like my body is overloaded if I have more than 1 in a 24 hour period.

I have found that I feel better than I did when I drank coffee. I am sure FRS has something to do with that ....I also have found that I eat healtier foods now( does FRS have some secret motivational ingredients that make you want to improve your overal health?) so that combination has really improved my level of energy and fitness.

That's my unscientific review. If you try it I hope you have the same positive experience as me.

Lance Armstrong has recently jumped on board with FRS and actually is on the Board of Directors I believe. With FRS, it took a few days of drinking one every day but I really felt less fatigued during the day. I am really sold on it right now.

With the FREE trial they have ( I highly recommend you get that - you have to sign up for future orders but can cancel at any time . They do charge for shipping - $6 I think) I received some energy soft chews with that...they were great. I give them credit for the tennis match I won last week!

Can you guess what FRS stands for? I'll let you see if you can find out from their website!

If you are looking for an inexpensive way to find out if FRS is right for you then sign up for their free trial. You get a little of everything and can cancel if you want later...but I think you will love it.

Here are some important tips for maintaining your health and energy:

Are you exhausted when you wake up in the morning or feel like you are dragging all day long? You may be experiencing an energy crisis. Properly moving, fueling, relaxing and maintaining your body can give you the energy you need to do your daily activities. Here are some ways to replenish and energize your body:

  • § Establish a consistent bed time and routine that prepares your body for sleep-such as taking a hot bath, reading or drinking a cup of herbal tea.
  • § Clear your mind of negative emotions and stress prior to going to sleep-write it down in a journal or talk with a trusted friend or spouse before it consumes you.
  • § Participate in daily physical activity that you enjoy.
  • § Achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Carrying extra body weight requires more energy to carry-energy you don't have if you're already drained.
  • § Stay away from alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes-especially within several hours of your bedtime. They make it difficult to fall asleep and achieve a restful sleep.
  • § Eating balanced meals and snacks frequently will give you sustained energy throughout the day. For optimal sleep, avoid large, spicy meals late in the evening.
  • § Make sure you get regular check-ups and are following "doctor's orders." Some health problems cause our bodies to run less efficiently, requiring more energy.
  • § Take a look at your medications and be aware of any side effects that are interfering with your sleep or causing fatigue. Review these with your doctor.

I found the FRS really, really upset my stomach when I used it before a long run-- had to cut it short! Since I was trying to switch from coffee because it also upset my stomach, I wasn't very impressed. I'd recommend to others to try the spot-on energy patch instead of these drinks. It has a lower dose of caffeine, and I think the fact that it;s slowly absorbed makes it better for your stomach and less likely to make you crash. http://www.spotonenergy.com

Personally i absolutely love the taste of Verve... it must be the fact that i as already drinking vemma and loving it, that drinking the energy drink was just a natural progression. I guess we all have our own unique and individual tastes!
