I love the way children are portrayed in many of the greeting cards and postcards created for holidays in days gone by. As with my cute kids vintage valentine cards, many of which were probably produced by the same publishing companies that produced these vintage St. Patrick's Day greeting cards, the children are sweet, innocent and adorable. (Although, I must admit that some of the horizontal cards do venture out of innocence into more adult territory. But they're still quite tame, so don't worry!)

For good or for bad, children today grow up so quickly. So it's interesting to see reminders of a time when kids were kids for a long time, not just until they were old enough to click a computer mouse and manipulate a Wii controller. These vintage children are not only just being kids, but they're embracing St. Patrick's Day for all it's worth. I'm sure you'll find uses for these adorable reminders of how fun St. Patrick's Day can be when looked at through the eyes of a child.

These are very cute vintage cards. So many St. Patrick's Day images are unfunny, cartoon-type, leprichauns. These are charming. :)

Thanks, Lisa. I agree that many St. Patrick's Day images are kind of silly. There's a sweetness to these that's missing in most modern holiday images.
